Generative music app for iOS by point in passing can create unique ambient synth music relative to the time of day and other factors, and claims no two songs will be the same:
An alternative to structured meditation platforms, Non uses sound to develop the practice of active listening and invite deepened states of consciousness.
Non’s algorithm produces each sound note by note, making no two sessions ever alike. The generative soundscapes and in-app visuals, adapt to the time of day, respond to the user’s energy, and shift with their physical movement. This lack of familiarity allows for an experience unclouded by expectation.
Challenging the conventions of user interaction, Non employs a unique and seamless set of gestures to produce something more tonally suited for meditation and alleviate the paradox of choice.

A Feathursday Abecedarium
Today we present all the birds found in the noted 1923 Doubleday publication ABC Book, designed with original color woodcuts by the American artist, illustrator, and designer Charles Buckles Falls, better known as C.B. Falls. Besides his illustrated books, Falls is perhaps most well remembered for his WWI posters, especially his famous “Books Wanted for Our Men” poster.
Falls originally created the book for his daughter Bedelia Jane Falls to help her learn the alphabet, and the Doubleday publication is dedicated to her. Doubleday’s editor for this book was Milwaukee-raised May Massee, who was the first head of Doubleday’s juvenile department from 1922 until 1933, when she left to start the children’s book department at Viking, where she remained until her retirement in 1960. Massee attended the Milwaukee State Normal School, one of UW-Milwaukee’s predecessor institutions, earned a library science degree from UW-Madison, and worked for several years as a professional librarian before becoming editor of the American Library Association periodical Booklist, which catapulted her into a career of children’s book editing.

Brand Identity for Hotel Motel by Caserne.
“Hotel Motel is a high-end unisex sneakers brand. It’s also a workshop that revitalizes the Montreal’s leather industry knowhow. Notably, the project is a reaction to mass production and consumerism. The developed identity plays on contrasts by emphasizing the paradox between the elite and the common Hotel Motel.”
CASERNE is a graphic design studio located in Montreal. They offer creative solutions and appropriate graphic communication in relation to strategic issues of their clients: branding, publishing, packaging, web and motion design. Their approach to work is global. It’s functional, coherent and relevant.
