Going on Hiatus...
Something’s recently come up in my life that’s going to take a lot of my attention. Unfortunately, that means I’ll be updating my tumblr less frequently. Even more unfortunately, it means the April release of my novel will be pushed back indefinitely.
Yeah, it sucks. I know.
But given what’s happened, I have to temporarily put my writing on hold. In times like these, I just think of my favorite authors. Authors like Clive Barker who took more than a decade to finally write a sequel to The Hellbound Heart (a.k.a Hellraiser.} Or, J.K. Rowling who took a few years between her Harry Potter novels.
And even in film, I think of James Cameron who waited 12 years before releasing Avatar after his film TItanic. And I think it’s fair to say, it certainly didn’t hurt him.
The lesson, it seems, is a powerful story can endure the test of time.
Most importantly, I’m thankful to everyone who’s followed my humble little tumblr and all of the tumblr users who inspired me like Cypulchre, Headless Samurai, 2002 Horror, and many many others.
This isn’t really a goodbye as much as it’s a “good bye--for now.”
If you’re a writer out there, keep writing. If you’re a dreamer, keep dreaming bigger.
