——- ; ; Platinum cerise orbs timidly flickered to the ivory mane that was considered hair, the stranger’s complex covered by the obvious gas mask secluding it. Already feeling more then intimidated and if not, cautious around him, slender fingers toyed with the paged of a notebook clutched tightly to her chest. Usually she would have scurried away at first glance, but then there was the situation with her horrid memory. Completely unaware of where she was.
"—W-Well, I am lost, I know I was supposed to be here for something but—-It slipped my mind.” The Redhead woman mumbled, glancing around warily before continuing— “I’m sure you’re lowly at all! It’s fine i-if you don’t know, though.”
Being the labeled cheerful girl had its perks, but considering her knowledge on most things disappeared from her complex mind the minute it came, she did have a reason to be hesitant while doing most things.
☣ — Hues flicked to focus onto the girl that had spoken up, narrowing slightly for reasons unknown to even the boy himself. A rather cheerful girl, one that would often be put together with a bright future; however, the boy felt that she was quite different from the average schoolchild.
The male glanced at the text she was holding for a second, trying to decode the meaning behind it. A simple schoolbook, used to scribble notes? Perhaps plans for something more sinister? Or, none of the above, most likely. He brought a paper sheet hand to his guise, adjusting it in an idle gesture.
"Ah, no... I'm quite well known for my worthlessness, you see. Anyways... Lost? Well, that's not good... Were you looking for a book, perhaps? We are in the library, after all."
His attempt to sound friendly was hampered considerably by the strainer that muffled his ever word, although it did do well to mask the small amount of confusion that had melded into his tone. How could someone forget something as that so easily? Most likely, it was due to some kind of disorder, but it must have been a very serious case, whatever it was.

☣ — More people. He eyed the group under semi-translucent brick lenses with half-interest, eyelids already heavy from lack of rest. Just an extraordinary as the others, or at least the majority of them were so. A shaky breath of air floating from his mask accompanied his following words, apathetic through the metallic vibrations of the filter.
"... Hello. What do you want?"
Needless to say, his mood had swung towards the darker end of the spectrum recently. Toying with an awry strand of ivory between his fingertips, he awaited an answer.

— It was like looking into a mirror, but only if that mirror were broken and tainted.
Disgusting. Komaeda always wrote himself off as such but this time it was the only word that came to mind upon seeing this reflection of himself. Especially that gasmask- the filter it gave his voice definitely made Komaeda want to shiver. Except he did no such thing and held his ground.
Something so disgusting as this had to be despair. Hope never gave off such a foul feeling.
He had a multitude of questions in mind- most of them, unfortunately, verging on incoherent due to how perplexed he was- and yet somehow only the stupidest inquiry made it out.
"—What are you wearing?”
☣ — Raising a pale hand to the cold, uneven metal of his breath filter, lips twisted into a smug smile while moving his mask into a more comfortable position. Here, right in front of his eyes, was a reflection of his own persona... Not quite as demented as himself, but more or less, the other white-haired boy was Komaeda Nagito, in essence. And it made him absolutely sick to his stomach.
Kibō. Hope. The one word he so hated and loved at the same time. Weaklings like this- like him- was the reason he had decided to create chaos instead of order. The mere foolishness of his doppelganger almost made him chuckle with irony- How foolish he had once been. He didn't deserve to even feel hope, much less spread it; and that belief extended to his other selves.
"Well, that's quite a foolish question... This is a mask, to filter out the filth in the air. I can't stand the stench of hopeful people like you, especially when they have no right to feel the slightest ounce of Kibō... Aha..."
The politeness of his tone couldn't sheathe the pointed syllables, obviously meant to provoke a reaction. Even the light chuckle afterwards was crystal, sinister and amplified by the metal breathing piece.

☣ — Green hues dyed red by the lenses of his mask roved over the group, assessing them thoroughly. What an interesting bunch of people... Each with their own unique 'aura', as some would say. Almost as if the stench of kibō was strong enough to be tangible, or the waves of zetsubō were a passing breeze.
"Ah... Are any of you in need of anything? Of course, someone as lowly as me most likely wouldn't be able to meet the requirements of talents such as yourselves..."
Komaeda's words were warbled and distorted by the filter, coming out as a tinny echo. Even so, his politeness came through loud and clear, as was his self-conscious nature; All, of course, a fabrication to hide any real emotion, akin to the shaped cloth on his face.
WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER WHEN YOU ARE IN A BAD MOOD?
☣ — Unknown to everyone but him, a small smirk grew under the boy's mask, green hues narrowing under tinted lenses.
"Well, you know... I do enjoy a walk in the park. So much to see, and so much to do..." His tone suggested something much more sinister than what the innocent words implied.
