真天地開闢集団-ジグザグ - 命
I couldn't find the scans of this main feature issue anywhere so I purchased it and decided to share the scans since the photoshoot is pure epicness.
There is a lot of interview and band history if anyone is interested in translating it I can scan it as well.
I rarely fall in love with a band so quickly but when I do it's something special and Mikoto definitely is that. Special.
Shivering in the freezing cold
I long to warm your frostbitten heart
Through the endless sleepless nights,
Until the day comes
When your frozen world begins to thaw
Softly, gently
Like delicate white snowflakes
Please don’t melt away, don’t disappear
Tonight, beneath a sky where thousands of stars fall,
I hold you close by my side
Until the sound of the sacred bells echoes through the night,
Let the snow keep falling forever
This world is fleeting,
but even so, let me wish
That when the cold winds blow,
I can protect that small light
so it never fades away
Tonight, as if thousands of stars are shining,
We wait for the break of dawn
Until the sound of the sacred bells echoes through the night,
Let the snow keep falling forever
Pouring down,
Just like this snow, always,
I will wait,
for a future bathed in light.
Tonight, beneath a sky where thousands of stars fall,
I hold you close by my side
Until the sound of the sacred bells echoes through the night,
Let the snow keep falling forever
I wonder if the lethal dose isn’t enough yet. [1]
I feel so stupid... it doesn’t matter anymore
You were the only one I trusted
But in the end, it was all a lie
I don’t want to see anything anymore; I don’t want to believe in anything
I’m trembling so much it’s terrifying
I don’t need a world like this anymore
I don’t need anything anymore
The early summer rain scatters the flowers, so fleeting
Even sadness feels beautiful
The petals have vanished
A life like this...
His dream, a fleeting illusion
Still... the effect is still too weak [2]
Just hurry up and destroy it all already [3]
I don’t want to see anything anymore, just die already
It pierces me, over and over again
I don’t need a world like this anymore
Caught in the early summer rain, without an umbrella, I drift into a haze
I can’t even hear the sound of the rain anymore
My tears have dried up
It will never come back again [4]
His dream, scattering like petals [5]
My entire body began trembling more than usual
Dizziness and headaches... my vision fades into the distance
Hey, why?
Why did you lie to me, deceive me, and laugh at me?
If I had only known from the beginning...
Or maybe, it would've been better if I had known nothing at all
...not even about you.
The early summer rain melts into spring, and someday
I want to forget even those smiles
My tears have dried up
They’ll never return...
The early summer rain scatters the flowers, so fleeting
Even sadness feels beautiful
The petals have vanished
A life like this...
His dream, a fleeting illusion

Japanese lyrics here
The song appears to narrate the mental unraveling of the protagonist after losing something or someone they deeply trusted and cherished— perhaps a lover, a close companion or even their own aspirations.
With this in mind, the lines [1][2][3] reflect the emotional torment they have endured, questioning how much more pain they can endure before they completely break. The plea to "just hurry up and destroy it all" conveys the yearning for an end to their suffering.
Similarly, these lines [4][5] work together to express the protagonist’s grief over an irreplaceable loss; in the sense of acknowledging that what’s lost will never return. Together, they tell a story of a dream and relationship that once seemed full of promise but has now now vanished completely.
(Apology incoming in comment)
For real though, Kaoru is a phenomenon when it comes to temperatures. He keeps many more layers on stage when all the other members peel off layers and still sweat profusely early into a show, and yet when everybody else seems to be feeling cold, he's in a mere T-shirt.
I can’t see the colors of this beautifully painted city
In these broken lens, sadly, only reality reflects.
The groundless reassurance of self-love…
It wasn’t anyone else but me, I betrayed myself
If I reached out, I might touch that rainbow
But no matter what, I can’t reach it—can’t touch the illusion
Like a leaf, I want to be carried by the wind and cross over
To a place where I can forget everything
The vow that withered so desperately
Let my past self mischievously cut it up
The rats trapped in a terrarium, are made to dance
Unaware of anything, their lives come to an end
Pursued by the days, within chaos and turmoil
All my efforts were in vain; the path was blocked
If I look hard enough, maybe there is still salvation
I refuse to accept such a hopeless world
Like a leaf, I want to be carried by the wind and cross over
To the place these eyes remember
The rays of light shining through the cracks in the clouds
Let them fall upon my back, to reach the world we once dreamed of
Fly ────── !
Nothing is ever truly certain
Following the wind wherever it leads
There must still be life wavering within my hands
A flame that’s on the verge of fading, yet it still burns
Like a leaf blown by the wind,
I’ve finally reached the future you longed for that day
The brilliance of this clear sky,
I'll burn it into my eyes and shred despair into pieces

This song is basically a revised (?) version, a remake (?), almost a reflection of Ray°C’s 木の葉 (Konoha). The original version was more abstract and dreamlike, though I still haven't fully cracked it yet. In contrast, Zigzag’s version carries a heavier emotional weight, diving into the harsh realities and struggles that come with chasing a dream. Each verse captures a mix of doubt, struggle, hope, and finally, triumph, reflecting Mikoto-sama's personal journey as he chased his dreams.
I'd love to break down the meaning a bit more based on my understanding—and what I know about their history (which, let’s be real, isn’t 100% accurate, haha).
Like how the line "I’ve reached the future you longed for that day" was allegedly directed to you-know-who.
I’ve tried drafting a more detailed interpretation, but every time I edit it, I get stuck (I'm bad at writing, so most of the times I don't make sense lol). My thoughts feel scrambled, and nothing flows together logically. Maybe it’s better to just let the song speak for itself…
