I’m back I live, and despite how badly I have been struggle busing, I have just barely managed to finish my piece for this year before February is over, and I’ve just realized, Ive been drawing strong heart bear for 9 years, next year will be 10 and coincidentally also Care Bears 45th anniversary, wow🤯 🥳 I’m going to have to try really hard to do something special for it.

Anyway this piece is based off this⬇️ Scene in the flying my colors song from the second Care Bears movie, and I took the opportunity to draw some of my favorite unfortunate seldomly used bears, sea friend, and work of heart,🥰 and I also gave it colors more like we see in the forest of feeling in the first movie

you can tell by the fact these are the best quality images I can find, that the company isn’t giving them the love they deserve, much like a lot of other characters the fans love and have been asking for, but no there like let’s just see how many times we can release the same 5 bears and still get people to buy them🙄😒, don’t get me wrong I love cheer, funshine, and grumpy, cheer’s my favorite my but some variety would be nice, I have a little sister who has been begging for sweet dreams in the new style and we keep waiting and nothing, because if they’re not making the same five bears, they’re coming up with new bears Nobody asked for that feels like emoji vomit. Don’t get me wrong. They’ve made a few good ones I like stormy Heart and love shines designs, but the majority feels very meh, and I find that the ones that have the good color palettes and pretty designs always have a weird textures, whether on their belly badge or their fur its self , it’s just not very sensory friendly, which is like key for a stuffed animal company.

Day 11 of posting dolls I’ve added to my collection this year. This one is a rainbow high jewel Richie.

I loved this doll look from the moment I saw her, but unfortunately I was just getting into rainbow high when she was still out, and I was still in my trying not to add another line of dolls to my collection phase, so I didn’t buy her back then which I wish I had done, but I talked myself out of it, so I very patiently waited until I found one for a decent price secondhand . I got her with her first outfit and shoes, all of her jewelry, her jacket, and her stand and comb, she didn’t come with her second outfit, but I didn’t really mind that too much cause I never really cared for it and yes her eyes are just slightly sun damaged, but I don’t really mind, since I’m learning how to customize and restore dolls, I am prepared for the possibility of replacing the paint on the inside of her eyes at some point 

She’s wearing the live action Little mermaid deluxe play line doll top, the skirt is from fashion #29, her jewelry and purse are both from the Disney ily Ursula doll, the high heels from the blue eyed original color and create, and the purple over skirt from I think Is barbie from the 80s or 90s, but I can’t track it down despite my attempts, I also braided some iridescent tinsel into her twist braids.

I always thought jewel gave major mermaid vibes with her hair color and skin tone ,so I feel like this outfit really fits for her

Day 10 of posting dolls I’ve collected this year,This is a rebodied Rainbow high sparkle & shine clementine

As soon as I saw this doll, I was fascinated by her. I loved her face. She’s gorgeous, but I really didn’t like the sparkle and shine gimmick or the fact that the second gen doesn’t have wrist articulation, but I ended up buying her anyway and I’m really glad I did. I ended up getting a second hand winter break Poppy that I used to rebody her. I wouldn’t say it’s a perfect match but it’s close enough that I’m good with it.

She is wearing the skeleton bodysuit from Maria Garcia, the white shear top is from Sheryl Meyer, the black skirt from is form Shanelle Onyx, the pair of shadow high boots is from the mystery blind bags, the sunglasses are Marina’s, the are earrings from Scarlet Rose, and the jacket came with Clementine.

Day 9 of posting dolls, I’ve added to my collection this year. This is a my scene spring break Madison doll.

She is wearing a pink top from a Barbie fashionista #228 doll,l a my scene Club Birthday barbie skirt I got a lot of doll stuff, the Chunky black shoes are from a Barbie basics mtm #4 doll, and the sunglasses are from a Disney ily4ever Rapunzel doll, she did come with her original top, but cheetah prints never been my thing.

This is my first and so far my only my scene doll, my mom was pretty picky about what kind of dolls we had when I was a kid and my scenes did not make the cut, And has an adult I haven’t felt called to seek them out, but I got this one in a lot with a rainbow high doll I was after, and I have to admit I think see the appeal I don’t know that I’m gonna go out of my way to collect anymore, but I do really like this Madison her face is really aesthetically pleasing. and if I were to end up with more dolls like her, I don’t think I would be upset about it.

I do like the fashions the my scene dolls had too, having grown up in the 2000s I do find myself drawn to the styles they have, and I have my eye on a few pieces I would like have,

And I feel a distinct nostalgia for the web games because I used to spend hours playing on the Barbie, my scene, and Polly pocket websites.

Day 8 of posting dolls, I’ve added to my collection this year. This is a blue mermaidia mermaid

I think I’ve already pretty well established. My absolute adoration for Barbie Fairytopia especially Mermaidia, so no one’s surprised my collection continues to grow.

This is the blue variant of the Barbie mermaid non-color changing mermaids. I love her coral detailing and the pastel creamy yellow color against that pale blue color . I feel like this color palette really suits the mermaid aesthetic.

As for this particular run of doll there are 8 different colored versions three with a temperature, sensitive color change palette, a purple one named Marissa, a pink one named Shella, and the blue was Nori.

The other five didn’t change color and didn’t get individual names they came in the colors, yellow, orange, pink, purple, and blue. Unfortunately, some of them were European exclusive. I’m not 100% sure which colors but I know the yellow and the orange one and I think the blue one cause I had to buy her from Canada,but finding information on this subject has proven difficult

I know you can get the pink one in the US because I had that one as a child although I don’t think I have any plans on replacing her right now so she is literally the same face as the pink sea pixie. I just replaced I would, however, like to have some of the other colors like the orange and and purple one plus I would love to have the color changing Nori although my gremlin brain says I would like to have them all has mermaids have always been a big thing for me and the Fairytopia dolls have always just captured this fantastical whimsy that a lot of the other Barbie mermaids, especially the newer ones just don’t have so I guess we’ll have to see what happens.

Day 7 of posting dolls I’ve added to my collection this year today is Annalise and Erica from Barbie princess and the pauper

Full disclosure I’ve actually had Erica for at least a decade at this point, but I finally got my hands on Annalise and sense I never really posted pictures of either of them before so I decide to just post them together, since I did get them secondhand, some of their accessories are missing like their crowns and their shoes and unfortunately, Erica has lost the heart off of her necklace and I’m looking into finding a replacement charm. That’ll look close enough, but I haven’t found one just yet. 

the older Barbie movies are something cherish, but Princess and the parper in particular was one that the me and my older sister absolutely loved watching together , and it makes me think of her so having both of the dolls in my collection means a lot because every time I see them I think about watching that movie or listening to the album when we were kids

I also just really love the message of this movie these are two completely different girls from completely different backgrounds, and yet they can find common ground and understand that neither of their lives are perfect and they both have wants and duties and balancing those can be difficult and unfair and that even though one of them was born better off than the other, doesn’t automatically mean that they are better off than the other and I appreciate that

And honestly, the entire soundtrack is still a bop

Day 6 of posting dolls I’ve added to my collection this year, this is the 2025 Barbie basics #01 kit facemold doll

I named her Kalea which means joy, I actually love this doll so much that I bought a second one too customize, as soon as I saw this doll I had to have her she’s just so pretty and admittedly it made me kind of want the original kit made to move so kind of gotta keep an eye out for her, the one thing that I don’t love about the doll that her hair is short and really hard to style no matter what I do it always ends up being a static mess, anyway she is wearing a Disney ily Rapunzel sweater & Daisy Duck skirt, and a purple Barbie top and shoes, plus her original earrings and a rubber band ponytail for a headband.

as far as the basics line goes I actually really love these newest dolls. I like that their heads are supposed to be more easily swappable even if they are a little bit loose. .The only other one I bought was #04 The red I wasn’t thrilled with her as I was with #01, with #04 the printing on her face is either hit or miss and I just don’t think I got a good one.

on the other hand the first three dolls got Mattel creation kits that included the three other body types three new facemold three wigs and three outfits three sets of shoes and three accessories, which all around is really cool unfortunately these things are $100 a pop and well that’s not bad for three dolls. I have to admit it was a little more than I could pay considering I still have to pay shipping too. Maybe if they go on sale I’ll get one.

Day 5 of posting doll I’ve added to my collection this year, this is a deluxe style wave 1 #02 Asian Taya doll with an articulated prostatic leg

I name her Mei which is a little cliche but it means beautiful girl and I think it suits her, As you can see, she is currently wearing my Barbie pink premier dress and Shaw/shrug she’s also stolen the pink Premier doll stand. I’m not sure where the shoes are from. I don’t remember off the top of my head and the earrings she’s wearing are her original earrings as they are literally attached to her head I might do something about that later might not haven’t. Decided but either way I just thought she was gorgeous in this dress and the slit is perfect to show off her cool prosthetic even if she doesn’t sit centered on the stand I had I handbag that matched her shoes but apparently I forgot to put it in the picture

As somebody with a disability I have always loved the Barbie disability dolls. I even had the original Becky doll from 1996 When I was a kid unfortunately she was another casualty of the house fire, but as the disability Barbies have become more prevalent and diverse I have been collecting some of them have the original prosthetic leg Barbie fashionista #121 And i have their first hearing aid Barbie fashionista #187 And their first blind doll fashionista #228 I really wish they would do like some surgery scar stickers for people like me who’s only real sign of my disability is the scar from my open heart surgery. It would be so cool to have a Barbie with a heart surgery scar

technically I also have fashionista #195 the wheelchair can but technically I bought him to steal his wheelchair for one of my rainbow, high dolls, and I’m probably gonna use him for a rebody when they finally come along with a skin tone match with a face that I like so I don’t really count him because he’s really more for parts

I also have fashionista #135 and fashionista #192 two of their vitiligo dolls but I don’t know if that counts as a disability or not. I just think they look pretty in fact, #135 is my favorite play line doll I named mine Dorothy I really need to post some pictures of her

Day 4 of posting dolls I’ve added to my collection this year. This one is a Barbie Gala Collection Pink Premiere Doll

usually I try not to spend too much on dolls and when it comes to Mattel creations since you have to buy both a membership and pay shipping isn’t really something I do, but I found out about this doll last year when it was dropped, and I told myself I wouldn’t buy it unless it went on sale that would make it under 50 for me to buy obviously that happened

Which also means that I now have a Mattel creations membership untillike February or March of 2026

I haven’t really figured out how to use any of the special features because he wants me to come up with a username but gives me no guidelines for coming up with the username so the few things I’ve tried is told me I can’t use them just a little

Anyway, back to the actual topic and you may have noticed that she does not have her original dress on I put that dress and her shawl/wrap thingy on a different doll and her gloves on a completely different doll from that however she is still wearing all of her original jewelry and her shoes and I haven’t taken the plastic backings off of her earrings cause I’m afraid I’m gonna lose them if I do Anyway I put her in a barbie Best Buy fashions 70s style jumpsuit that I think really suits her and I gave her some pink glasses from a Barbie X care Bears cutie reveal cheer bear doll. She it’s Currently being displayed on a generic Mattel Barbie stand because the doll that is wearing her dress also has her stand. I’ll post that doll tomorrow.

Day 3 of posting dolls, I’ve added to my collection this year this is a 35th anniversary Ariel doll

I have always loved her purple/blue (let’s just split the difference in call it) periwinkle dress. It is one of my favorite moments from the entire movie so of course, when they release a for a reasonable price, I had to have her. She was actually my birthday present to myself. You may have noticed she has a few extra accessories and well I didn’t really care for the live action movie or their dolls I did buy the deluxe edition play line ariel from that movie on sale for her stand and accessories and I use the accessories on this ariel doll because I think it just gives her that extra pop you know really makes her feel like an princess of Atlantic, and I use the stand for my Barbie mermaidia Elina

Now I know the dress isn’t exactly the one in the movie and maybe someday I’ll have to make that dress for my collection, but I do love this one anyway I love the way it looks not the biggest fan of the overall texture of the dress but the look is gorgeous And I absolutely love her face and I’m so glad this is the type of faces Mattel is going with for there play line dolls they’re just very simplistic, but still very enchanting you know and well they might not look exactly like the cartoons. They still look like the characters they’re supposed to be more than I can say for some of their earlier designs

on another note excited about the newest play line dolls that have actual dresses instead of just plastic tops and skirts I definitely need one they even have a second outfit you can buy they have Ariel Bell, Tiana and Cinderella and I’m really hoping this does well enough if they do another round of them and hopefully get the message that we don’t want dolls was stuck on clothingalthough they are Walmart exclusives reference. Anybody else just really hecking miss the Disney store right now

like has a kid who grew up poor this felt like the closest thing I was ever gonna get to the magic of the resorts and I remember being so upset when they shut down and franklyI still am,

(If you don’t wanna hear a rant about my growing disappointment/frustration with Disney, go ahead and skip the rest of the text )

I mean, yeah I’m an adult and I could probably save the money to go to Disneyland or Disney World. In fact, I even seriously looked into how much it would cost to take me and my family to Disney World but it was a lot and that was like five years ago and it looks like it’s double defense then so I don’t think that’s happening with the economy the way it is 

And don’t get me started on Disney store online presents it’s abysmal no magic just another online store worse their prices just keep going up I used to buy things from the Disney store and now every time I see something on there that I think looks interesting. I’m like that’s already a lot of money and I have to pay shipping because you only get free shipping if you buying like over $85 or by some miracle you give you a free shipping day, usually all the good stuff is sold out by the time youfind out 

I think since having my own income I have bought maybe four things From the online Disney store because I just can’t afford the prices they’re asking and one of those items they sold out of so bad that I never actually got it and they had to refund me the money and I feel like half the stuff on there is special edition or collaborations that are Hella expensive

And the prices on things just keep going up even for some of them more affordable stuff For instance, their Disney holiday dolls just last year their holiday doll was 49.99 this year. The holiday doll is 64.99. Gosh, I hate this economy. And I hate having watched Disney get more and more greedy over the years but honestly, this thing is true of most major companies. That’s why they all have special edition items that cost hundreds to thousands of dollars at this point. And they’re locked behind pay for subscriptions like DX 23 or Mattel creation i’m just tired of seeing them charge 75+ dollars for a doll that really didn’t cost them that much more to make than their regular Disney store dolls like don’t get me wrong I own the 2021 holiday Barbie and she’s gorgeous but I can also tell you they didn’t put that much more work into her then they did the play line Disney store ariels

Day 2 of posting dolls I’ve added to my collection this year This is an Ariel & her sisters Ariel doll that I have been after since I was like seven

Now this is one of the ones I am most excited to show off. I remember seeing her in stores when I was little and how much I desperately wanted her, but we were poor so again I’ve never got one unfortunately. and as the packaging suggests, could also get all of her sisters and this is the only time they have ever made all of Ariel sisters in a full-size hair doll and someday I would love to have all of them in my collection but I don’t think it’s likely to happen because I have a rule on how much I’m willing to spend on a single doll and I am not the only person who thinks she’s beautiful and enchanting because people want anywhere from $50 to $400 and over for one of these suckers And they went for like $12.50 when they were made so that hurts if you ever see a listing for one inbox, you can see for yourself just look at the back of the box and then die a little inside

on another note, I got her in the mail and I was so excited to show her off because I love this doll and I have very vivid memories like just mooning over her in the store and telling my mom how much I wanted her like I remember we were at the mall with my grandparents, but they were in a different store with with one of my siblings and I asked Mom if I could bring Grandma and Grandpa back to show them this doll and she promised me I could and then we ran out of time and we didn’t get to go back and I didn’t get to show my grandparents and I remember being so upset. because not only did I not get to go back but she didn’t keep her promise I was like crying and drawing a picture of this doll on our way home to show my grandparents because I was just that enamored of it, so first things first my mom doesn’t get why I like this doll she thinks it’s kind of weird looking but and I asked my mom if she remembered the above story about seeing her in the store and my mom told me that she’s not really sure how well she remembers it but that it’s probably one of the reasons she got a lot more careful about making promises to us that she wasn’t sure if she could keep so I mean, at least she learned something from the incident

and my younger sister told me she looks creepy because she doesn’t have a nose and I was like she does have a nose. It’s just stylized and she’s like well. It’s still weird. She’s 11.

Day 1 of posting dolls I’ve added to my collection this year. We’re gonna start off with this one. Her name is Tammy. 

So this is a Tammy doll by ideal toys from the 1960s a friend of my mom was going through her old stuff and getting rid of things and she knew that I love to collect and restore/customized dolls so she sent me this one as well as an old G.I. Joe this missing armas you can tell she’s kind of in rough shape. Her paint is chipped. She’s still little grubby despite me already washing her once and she’s got a little puncture marks. That areprobably from a pet of some sort. She’s also got a bit of a bald patch on the left side of her head, which I have styled her hair to cover to the best of my ability. I haven’t decided for sure if I want to restore or customize her yet on one hand she’s from the 1960s so she’s pretty old but on the other hand, they’re not that hard to get a hold of and there is a part of me that has thought about buying a second one so that I can do both i’m not sure where the outfits from I don’t have any tags on it and to be quite honest with you I think it’s more that possibility it’s homemade The clip in her hair is from the rainbow high sleepover fashion pack. I just thought it looked cute on her.

Hey, it’s me. I’m not dead. Want to say sorry for not posting anything since like February this year has been a lot. 

So in about mid March, I started dealing with nerve pain in my face by late April early May it was constant pain pain so bad it made me wanna cry and I have a high pain tolerance. I went to the ER once and urgent care twice trying to figure out what the problem was and they basically told that there was nothing they could do except tell me to take ibuprofen and/or Tylenol, which I was already doing, until I’ve been to a dentist. Took me forever to find a dentist office that took my insurance finally found one, but they couldn’t get me in until early July. Did somore digging finally found somewhere that did walk-ins And my insurance that would get x-rays to find out if it was a tooth problem Spoiler alert. It was in fact a tooth problem. The tooth had broken down near the base of it in between it and the tooth next to it so you couldn’t see that it was broken from the outside Also it didn’t hurt if you pressed on it. Thankfully, they wrote me a referral to an oral surgery unfortunately they didn’t have any openings until November and that was for a consult called their other location and they were able to fit me in for a consult for July 1 and from there were able to schedule me for an extraction in September in the meantime, I got in with the other dentist office. They took a look at my teeth and said that I had two other teeth that needed fillings and thankfully, they were able to fit me in for both of those within about a two weeks span

Then I had an appointment with my cardiologist on the 18th, but the night before the pain had gotten so bad in my face and I literally couldn’t sleep. I had to call the oral surgery. They called in some antibiotics I was able to pick up before I had to go to the cardiology appointment which by the way I have to see a specialist who’s like 3ish hours away and buy some miracle the oral surgery managed to fit me in on the following Monday



On top of that the first week of July, I tripped over my youngest sister‘s shoe and broke my big toe and because it was my big toe I had to go back to urgent care they took x-rays told me I need to see an orthopedist and wear a boot got it with you orthopedist. They told me that I had managed to break my toe in such a way, but there was a little chipped piece of bone fragment just floating on top. She told me most of the time those resolve themselves so she’s just gonna let me be for now and schedule me appointment in a couple weeks to see where we’re at fair enough

Here’s a thing my family has a tradition of going to the same family camp every year for about two weeks end of July beginning of August We got back from camp and everyone got sick so I had to reschedule the orthopedist appointment twice because I was down and out for 3 1/2 weeks so that was fun. Finally went to see the orthopedist and they told me everything seems to be healing just fine and she doesn’t see a reason to schedule me another appointment unless it starts getting worse, but I should wear the boot for another month Or get some really flat and stiff shoes.

so like I said it’s been a lot and that’s just me and my health issues doesn’t count anything else so at this point I’m just standing here with my fingers crossed, hoping that nothing else goes wrong before the end of the year

So anyway, I decided I was gonna start posting some pictures of the dolls. I have added to my collection since I posted that picture of elina last September just wanted to let you guys know what’s been going on and you know let you know I’m not dead

Sup I’m back with year 9 of drawing my CHD awareness Care Bear

strong heart bear

I’m not gonna lie I think I bit off a little more than I can chew this time. I had the hardest time deciding what I wanted to do this year and then they released love shine bear which just made me think of my mom so I thought it would be really cute to draw her with Strong heart

but it kinda spiraled out of control from there, and I decided to draw them on this cute little playground, and although it took me a lot of time to figure out how to make this look right I think I could’ve done better on the clouds on the play structure but I think it turned out pretty well anyway,

it took me forever to finish this one cause I kept having to take breaks and walk away from it cause I was getting so frustrated. It took me forever to pick the right color palette for the rainbow and to figure out how to translate love shines colors into the vintage art style, and like I said, the clouds were never ending point of frustration. Don’t even get me started on making sure the swings look like they’re actually swinging one direction or the other and I’m still not sure they look right but I think overall it turned out pretty well although I might redo it at some point but I hope you guys enjoy it .

I finally have mermaidia Elina my childhood holy Grail Barbie 

She has been like one of my favorite Barbie movie dolls since I was little but we were poor so I couldn’t really afford her but now I’m an adult and I have my own money so I have been slowly checking off my childhood wish list as well as replacing a few dolls that I lost in the housefire when I was a kid and I was lucky enough in recent to find her for a good price with both of her wings and her tail. I am so excited.😆 her skirt is missing one of its little jellyfish tentacle things, but I think I should be able to hand make a replacement for that pretty easy 

Here’s a picture of her with my sea pixies.(I named them Aquanetta and Coralee ) The lighting isn’t super great, but I want to show it off anyway. I’d still like to get some of the mermaidia mermaids. I used to have the pink one when I was a kid, but I don’t know if I’m gonna replace her or not cause she’s literally the same face as the pink sea pixie however I do know I want Nori and I kind of like to get my hands on some of the other pastel mermaids and I’m looking into making a custom prince Nalu think I’m gonna take some creative and give him longer hair

OK, so last year I made a postwhere I edited the official rainbow high face chart coloring page as well has created a male version of it. this year I have done the same thing with the design the look/make your own student coloring page. I have two versions one with long hair and one with short hair in both male and female because I believe in equality in my dolls
