When I was a kid, I thought it was totally normal to have that didn’t save, despite picking a save file every time we booted it up.

It took a while to learn that SNES cartridges and they have a battery inside. If that battery is dead, the game doesn't save.

We got all of our games second hand so the battery was dead the whole time we had it and I just accepted it as a normal thing.

I found it just now! it was the day I met Pizza for the very first time after she was brought to us. and you all know how 'brave' she is, so of course she went to find a hiding place immediately, and that's why you can see her behind the ladder here (she was sitting there for a few hours 🥹)

I told her I loved her already even though I'd only known her for an hour or so, but it absolutely was love at first sight
