The thing which blows me away is how TWERFs and (to a lesser extent) transandrobros seem to be under this idea (or at least love to push it) that transfeminists are against any rights for those with uteruses, but I have not met even a single transfeminist who isnt incredibly vocally pro-choice on the subject of abortion. Like I guess they just assume transfeminism wants to remove abortion rights from the docket of feminism bc transfems arent directly affected by it, but its something we all believe deeply in bodily autonomy about. Heck ive met transfeminists who are more radically pro-choice than any TWERF i have ever met
Actually no, its more like...they themselves are so steeped in bioessentialism, i think they view rights for transfems as directly at odds with rights for anyone with a uterus (Ofc ignoring that many transfems have vaginas, visit OBGYNs, and that uterine transplants are being discussed). But this is very importantly not the case, and falls apart once you understand abortion rights less as a "womens rights" issue and more as a "bodily autonomy" issue. Framing it as womens rights is extremely fraught, because obviously that denies the existence of transmasc folks with uteruses, AND if a uterine transplant in a trans woman ever occurs (please please please) would probably deny her as well. No, transfeminism reframes the topic as about bodily autonomy, because that includes not just everyone with a uterus, but also affects literally everyone alive...it has ripple effects for transfems, for drug users, for youthlib, you name it!
But if you just wanna make it "womens rights", you only affect (at least positively) those who are identified as women who have uteruses. Bioessentialism hobbles progress so clearly, but folks just hate transfems so much I guess they cant see that.
Working at home on a rainy day is ✨
hi hello. my other post stalled and shit is hitting the fan regardless so unfortunately it is time for... this.
im damone dami mona dj whatever you know me as. im a disabled blak bi woman from rural victoria and i just got my ass ejected from an abusive home i was already trying to leave. i could take basically nothing with me but my laptop, cats, documents, and some very basic clothes.
ive talked a little about what i experienced in that house on my blog but basically the long and short of it was the cops knew me by name, id been choked out, i was allowed to shower like twice a month, i was extorted, my medication was taken and withheld, and i was verbally and physically abused often, including getting mocked for my sa regularly. there is more. so much more. but venting isnt the purpose of this post
ive made a gofundme here for getting out and staying out, and i also have a ko-fi that takes both paypal and stripe.
you have absolutely no idea how much its meant to have people care so much and do what they can to help, thank you all from the bottom of my fucking heart.

I'm raising funds to help my mom escape domestic violence. My mom is a disabled So… Jonathan E needs your support for Help My Mom Escape
👋🏽 I'm raising funds to help my mom escape domestic violence.
My mom is a disabled South African immigrant who has experienced abuse and violence throughout her life. She is currently receiving threats from and is in constant fear of harm from her husband, who has grown increasingly unpredictable and has access to firearms.
Right now, my top priority is getting my mom out of the apartment she shares with him. There are laws where we live that will protect her through this process! However, since being married, my mom has lost the entirety of her savings due to ongoing financial abuse. Her husband refuses to financially contribute and has actively interfered with her ability to secure work, including intentionally disrupting remote interviews.
I have been paying for her rent and expenses as best I can, but my own experience of disability means I cannot work full-time, and I have limited savings.
My goal is to secure enough money for my mom to end her lease and be able to secure a new apartment as soon as conceivably possible. This would amount to about a year's worth of rent and would restore the $20,000 in savings she's lost. In the meantime, I will also be reaching out within our local community to see if anyone can provide her with emergency housing in the interim.
Any additional funding past this goal would go towards helping my mom rebuild her life and reconnect to her sense of autonomy as she starts to heal.
She is a kind, loving person who has supported me through everything. We've both experienced a lot of abuse and it pains me to see that cycle continue now. I am genuinely afraid for her life and am trying as best I can to get her out of this. I would do anything for my mom and right now that includes asking for help!
Thank you for reading and please take care of yourselves and each other 🖤
UPDATE: Fundraising goal has been reduced to align more with my mom's wishes. We are nearly halfway there and almost have enough to cover her rent next month, which is a huge relief! Thank you so much to everyone who's already donated, it means the world! ❤️
surgery recovery sketch commissions
hi, i'm about to have a major chest wall surgery and in honor of that i am opening $20 sketch comms!
these are not emergency commissions so please support artists in immediate need first, however all of the money will go towards amenities that will make my 2-ish month long recovery easier and more comfortable.
examples of what these commissions can look like:
i can only accept cashapp and venmo payments right now, and i'm requesting payment up front. these may also take a bit, since i don't know what my pain and energy levels are gonna look like but i will communicate about any significant delays and refund if i can't complete something.
dm if interested 🫶
i really can’t think of any downside to holding shield other than the obvious (one less hand to hold things with) but really the benefits outweigh the singular drawback

side benefit of communal all-gender restrooms is that they may be our best chance to shame cis men into washing their hands
i was in a communal all-gender restroom today and as i was washing my hands a middle-aged man came out of one of the stalls, started to make for the door, clocked me standing at the sinks, and changed course to wash his hands with a real hangdog look on his face
i am doing a shop sale to raise money for my fiance's FFS recovery. any support is appreciated. TYSM

anyway. christmas tree scene widely regarded as “scariest scene in movie” but the part i keep picking at like a scab is the scene where the therapist’s childhood living room grows more and more unlike itself until it’s a room that geometrically has never existed. that is what makes the “backrooms” scary and therefore interesting not ouuuu spooky red lighting scary monster ouooouuu
