Ok I’m gonna give my kill shot take to put down the “my caricature of a trans woman is ok because lots of trans women look like this” discourse for good.

That sentence is arguably true for almost any offensive caricature. Just offhand to use one I’m a subject to, I’m Jewish and plenty of Jews do actually have big noses! But if your depiction of a Jew looks like that and you’re not Jewish, it’s still probably a caricature!

Help a Trans Woman secure HRT and an Education

Hello all. I am unfortunately coming to you, hat in hand, rattling my can, on behalf of a trans girl, Tessa, that I love dearly like a sister. She's been very housing insecure for a while, but fortunately, she's found stable housing. However, since she hasn't been able to work or continue her education, she has been having a hard time getting healthcare in the USA for HRT due to the cost or any amount of income to pay to finish getting her GED. Normally, I'd front the cost a bit, but unfortunately, the university does not pay me in the summer.

We're hoping to raise 500 Dollars for the HRT and 200 dollars for the complete cost of the GED testing. Her Ca$happ is $marbledcrayfish. Thank you so much for reading this and potentially helping Tessa out!

ghibli, to be clear, also makes very conservatively tinged films, but their commitment to portraying genuinely very average people who largely accomplish very average things makes them, in my view, infinitely less fascist than disney "heroes are cishet supermodels and villains are fat and ugly and transfeminine and racialized". both of these companies were making films concurrently in the 80's and 90's

every time a young gay person quits smoking or makes the decision that they want to quit, the sun shines on us all with the promise of happiness and beauty.

i appreciate everybody that’s sharing the sentiment that it’s good for anyone to quit smoking (it is) but i very specifically wanted to highlight and encourage LGBTQ youth because lesbian, gay, and bisexual people are about 1.5 to 2.5 times more likely to smoke cigarettes than heterosexual people, and the statistics for transgender people are even higher than cisgender people. this is due to tobacco companies marketing heavily and aggressively to LGBTQ communities and exploiting the higher rates of mental health struggles prevalent in our communities.

i want and hope to see all my LGTBQ people live long, healthy, fulfilled lives despite how predatory and punishing this world can be. you should stay around as long as you can to make it a little better in your own way.

can you find someone marked red, look me in the eyes, and honestly tell me they haven't done any of the following:

-said men are oppressed/misandry is an issue

-defended afab-only spaces

-opposed transfeminists

-claimed transfeminist terminology is an attack on other marginalized groups

-spread rumors about a transfem being a predator without evidence

-participated in lolcowing a transfem

-tried to reclaim femboy culture as a non-transfem

-defended male socialization theory

-implied transfems are generally dangerous

-accused a transfem of being an evil pervert while excusing non-transfems engaging in similar kinks

-claimed transmascs have no privilege or power over transfems

-claimed most transfeminists are white/bourgeoisie

-called trans women bitches, cunts, or racial slurs

because any of that is a valid reason for a transfem to not trust you. i cannot stress that enough. any single one of those is a good enough reason for a random transfem to signal to others "be cautious." and if you can't understand why transfems are wary around people like this, you need to make an effort to learn.
