   She’s got the look of a woman who unravels what she sees as soon as she sees it, record time. “Hey, yo, JJ!” Holder skips the bullshit, the formality, and lands his ass somewhere square in between. 

   They’re not meeting on the city’s official dime---not 'til tomorrow. Thought it might be best to give miss sixty-minutes-of-fame the rundown she didn’t ask for. Women like her, like Linden, get jerked around hard enough without having to stand through that political chest-beating every time they skip jobs.

   “DAMN GIRL, Pimp My Ride squeeze you in on a Gotham Special?” He tips his chin in greeting as a long-time friend maneuvers her way toward him. Like she owns these damn streets. Considering that the suspect in question is Barbara Gordon herself, it ain’t really that far off from the truth.

  Three strides and a shrug later, Holder meets her halfway. The boss man’s caught up in some PR fiasco, courtesy of some fish-outta-water dickhead trying to cut corners from chain of custody. From the looks of things, he’ll be busy a while. Might as well make her feel like she’s not wasted a trip all the way out here. 

  He bends down to get a better look at her wheels. Holder runs his tongue along his gumline in the reflection. Spinach works wonders for the mind and the body. Not so much for the ladies when it’s all gunked up in your teeth. Holder grins anyway. “How’d you like t’have a fine-ass armpiece escort you up and down in front’a them cameras—get me outta writin’ reports.”
