Some photos from yesterday’s demonstration against the conservative government.
Don’t believe the bullshit news coverage of the demo. It was a peaceful protest until the police decided to use brute force to split the protest up and kettle us. The police brutality was disgusting and totally uncalled for, my friend got hit in the face with a baton and many who tried to run to escape being kettled ended up being violently pummeled to the floor. In the same way they always do the media has made it all about the police officers injured and the graffiti. But let’s not forget who owns and runs the media.

"Oppressed" Muslim Women
This images are so important because when people (esp. people who identify vocally as feminists) say that the veil prevents women from doing things, that it is an instrument of oppression, we make that veil an instrument of oppression. Islam does not say that veiled women cannot be pilots or doctors or teachers. Bad feminists do. Islamaphobes do.
Thank you.
I love this so much.
