When his men finally drop their captive at his feet and remove the mask covering his face, Matt can’t help but grin. He had heard a rumor about all this… inter-dimensional travel in the tech circle, but this? He never thought he’d see himself.

“So Spider Woman is looking less and less crazy… I’d know my own heartbeat anywhere.” he said, grinning as he took a drink.

There was no familiar pieces he could collect on to know what was happening. Her heart was silent but the taut tension in her muscles told him that she was scared. Matt listened, attentively picking up on and remembering the new sound of her body. Elektra didn’t seem to be focused on him, not yet, from the silence she was trying to deal with new stimulation. Matt kept himself calm hoping that she would pick up on that and not run away.

He kept his distance, keeping still besides the slow tilt of his head towards her to listen.

“Elektra,” Matt said softly. He wanted to say so much more but he kept himself restrained. How? How did she come back? Stay..

“You’re safe.. we’re alone..”

He had his hands gently holding up Karen’s wrist, listening to the odd pull of tendons and muscle as shetried to move it.

“It’s not broken,” he wouldn’t go into detail of how heknew that. He was sure Karen wouldn’t really want to knowanyways. “It might be a sprain. I still think we should go to the ER just to make sure,” Matt said.
