Humanity has lived in space in for 22 years...let that sink in.
I’m a space nerd, but today one obvious fact just blew me away. For over 22 years we’ve had humans living and working in space. Said in another way it does hit differently. Until the November 2nd 2000 humans have only ever lived on Earth. I expect that in 33 years time I’ll be writing the same thing about the continuous human presence on the moon too. Imagine going back in time to tell some kid in the 60s watching the Jetsons that humans would be working in space permanently. I think the response would be an unsurprising ‘yeah and so?...’ and I’d embarrassingly walk back to my Time Machine.
