Apa yang mereka pikirkan?

Aku sedikit geram ketika membaca artikel di bawah ini kemarin sore, di harian lokal, Jambi Independent, tanggal 5 Januari 2016. Aku hampir tidak pernah menanggapi hal-hal yang seperti ini secara terbuka, apalagi untuk menuliskannya. Tapi dari kemarin aku geram saja membacanya.

Aku bukan orang yang tidak beragama. Aku seorang buddhist. Aku percaya pada agamaku seperti orang-orang percaya pada agamanya. Aku menghargai mereka yang percaya pada agamanya karena itu pilihan mereka untuk percaya pada apa yang mereka percaya. Tapi bukan untuk memaksakan apa yang mereka percaya pada orang yang tidak sepemikiran seperti mereka. Karena menurut aku itu sesuatu yang irasional. Apa artinya beragama jika konflik pun tidak bisa dihindarkan? Apakah dengan status sebuah agama semua permasalahan dapat diselesaikan? 

Aku menuliskan ini dengan konteks hargailah kehidupan orang lain dengan tidak mencampur-adukkan insitusi dengan kehidupan personal seseorang atau sekelompok orang, yang mana aku pikir akan susah jika dalam konteks Indonesia. Tapi mereka, suku SAD, adalah orang-orang asli di pertiwi ini. Mereka tidak berkonflik jika bukan karena orang-orang modern dengan pemikiran majunya memaksakan kehendak mereka ke sana. Karena tanpa disadari kitalah yang merenggut hak-hak mereka. They are the indigenous people that need better protection for their own rights.

Tulisan ini sepenuhnya pendapat personal. Aku tahu akan banyak kontroversi, baik pro dan kontra. Tapi percayalah, aku cinta kedamaian. Dan bukan berarti dengan ini kedamaian terkoyak.

Today, I am officially leaving my 25th and turning to my 26th. Yes, I am 26 now. Hahahaha... Pretty old girl, they said. My wish is I can do my thesis pretty well and graduate next summer. One of my birthday gift is a new MacBook, so hopefully it can fully support me in doing my thesis. Also, i got two tumblers from dududers + @dinnafriana. Thank you. :D

Thank you for all the wishes. Thank you for my family who gave me countless and unconditional loves. I do really appreciate it!

Hej,

It is almost the end of 2015. Don’t you feel that this year has been passed so fast? Many things have been done, and many things are still in the parking lots. Many stories, dramas, encouragement, discouragement, adventures, travels, and many others have been passed. They have created a history and learning points for me, inevitably. 

The most dramatic and depressed Swedish winter had been gone! The most problematic internship application to a UN agency had been left. The most tiring internship and assignments for LUMID had been submitted. But, I will not forget about friendships that have been made in Sweden. All the most wonderful places that I visited this year. Great opportunities to meet awesome people during my internship in Kopernik. And many others amazing things.

Lastly, I just want to thank you for everything that I have had now. I know a lot of stuff will come up in the future (both positive and negative). I embrace everything. I hope I can be better and better every day. Be a better me. Bring tons of joys and blessings to myself and others. I set up some milestones for 2016. Hope I can carefully be aware and awesome! I will!

No wonder, if people have so much dream when they come to Jakarta. Yes, indeed, Jakarta has its magnitude for those who want to dream bigger. Jakarta offers many things, including dreams that sometimes for some people those not even realistic.

Hidup itu tidak harus selalu sewarna untuk menjadikannya indah. Lihatlah betapa cantiknya langit di pagi hari ketika matahari akan menampakkan wujudnya. Mempendarkan gelap menjadi warna-warna yang membuat engkau menarik napas lebih dalam untuk dapat merasakan hingga ke dalam relung jiwa. Dan percayalah, matahari tetap akan selalu datang, walaupun badai datang semalam atau di malam-malam terakhir. Walaupun iya tak tampak, ia ada di sana. Percayalah.

Tanpa Judul

Dan aku tidak tahu apa yang aku tulis, sejujurnya. Aku hanya ingin menulis. Menulis apa yang ada dikepalaku.  Menuangkan apa yang tersimpan dalam amyglada. Tapi aku rasa, itu tertalu banyak.  Dan pada akhirnya, aku kembali tidak tahu apa yang akan aku tulis. Tapi setidaknya aku sudah menulis apa yang aku tidak tahu.  Selamat berakhir pekan bagi jiwa-jiwa yang merindukan. Semoga engkau selalu menemukan harapan.

Happy Swedish National Day!

Today, I went out for awhile. Took a break from my take home exam and would like to know if there was anything happen to celebrate Swedish National Day in the downtown. Also, because I did not have any food at home, I had to get some to survive. :p

I went to the centre with Benni. But apparently, there was nothing so special in the city today, only small celebration in front AF Building from the veterans and some parties in several buildings, such as in AF Building and Grand Hotel. But the weather today was super nice. Yaps, today was the warmest weather in this year. Finally, summer is coming! Sommar i Lund!

When we passed by a building next to Historika Museum, there was an open gate that we never have seen before. We entered the gate with curiosity and would like to find out if there is anything inside the building. Nej! There was nothing, except the small fountain. Hahahaha...

I just arrived from the library, brewed up my coffee and took a break for awhile. I opened my Facebook page and found this video on my timeline. This video is edited by one of my friends when I was in the undergraduate study, who pursue his passion for filmmaking, Budiyanto.

This video tells us about how a book can be a bridge for the differences, either rich or poor, white or black. In Indonesia, there is a saying said, “Book is the window to the world.”

So, enjoy the short video. But there is no English subtitle. Sorry for that.

These pictures were taken yesterday, ehm, two days ago actually. We went to Indonesian gathering, kind of, in Abbekås, still in Skåne region. It takes around one to one and half hour from Lund to Abbekås by train, then by bus. But, it’s worthwhile. There were more than 20 people coming to the gathering.

There is an Indonesian-Swedish family (Mbak Titis’ family) that invited the students who reside in Skåne to celebrate a decade of living in Sweden. Also, a farewell party for a PhD student (Mas Hari) and his family that already finished his study and will fly back to Indonesia soon. It was so nice gathering. Mbak Titis cooked a lot of Indonesian food, literally a lot. I thought there were more than 15 different foods, exclude more than five types of cakes for dessert. It was really-really taste like Indonesian foods in Indonesia, seriously.

These pictures were taken around Mbak Titis’s home. We were walking around her home that has a very nice view and landscape. It is surrounded by field for local farming. It also faces to beach. It is really nice. Actually, the landscapes pictures remind me about one year ago before I came here. I saw one of the student’s photo with almost the similar landscape. I kept believe and put the picture as my wallpaper on my phone as a reminder that I can experience the same. And, yes finally I am here. :)

Have you ever thought about bamboo? It is strong, but also flexible. This inspiring video from TedEX may open your eyes how you should value it. In general, people value it as invaluable stuffs. But, it even offers luxury. So, people let’s get inspired by bamboo in our life. Don't be too straight because life obviously needs its flexibility but also strong as the same time. :)

Don’t you miss your childhood moment when everything seems so free and no fear to try something new? Yes, I do! Generally, when you were a child, you wanted to grow up soon because you felt that adult people possibly have freedom to choose, have opportunities to go anywhere without restriction, have a strong voice to express their feeling. But, once you are getting old, you want to be like a child. When you had so many imaginations without fear, when you had a dream that only you could imagine, when you could try something totally new without any guilty feeling. After all, we are just human. Keluarga. Apa itu keluarga? Dapatkah kau memaknainya? 

Bagiku keluarga itu bukan hanya dengan jalinan darah yang mengalir di dalam tubuh. Tapi lebih dari itu. Aku selalu beruntung mendapatkan kehangatan dari orang-orang disekitarku yang mengganggap aku bagian dari mereka walaupun tanpa jalinan darah di dalamnya. Dan merekalah yang yang terus memberikan asa, menghidupkan kembali harapan ketika lelah, bukan untuk terus berlari tapi terus menemanimu di saat kau gundah hingga kau dapat bangkit berdiri seperti sedia kala.
