anyway i love being autistic
reblog if you love being autistic, love people who are autistic, or want to punch every ableist jerk in the mouth.
useless ancient roman law facts
if you call someone to witness and they refused to show up, you are legally entitled to stand outside their house and scream, but only every third day
you can sell your son into slavery once or twice, but after the third time he doesn’t have to put up with that shit anymore
no wailing allowed at funerals
also you can only have ONE funeral per person, don’t get greedy
if your neighbor’s tree has a branch hanging into your yard, you can legally cut down the entire fucking tree
however, if some of your neighbor’s fruit from his dumb tree falls into your yard, he can legally come into your yard to snoop around get it
if you call someone to witness and they’re too sick or old to get to court themselves, you have to provide a cart for them to come in, but it doesn’t have to be, like, a nice cart if you don’t want it to

A male character: "has a character flaw/does a mistake"
The fandom: UwU our son isn't perfect but it's okay! He has time to learn and improve himself!
A female character: "has a character flaw/does a mistake"
The fandom: ugh... when will she stop being so stupid and irritating? can she just disappear?!
Barcelona right now:
•Taxi drivers working for free •A LOT OF people donating blood •Hotels giving free accomodations
I don’t know about you but I feel really proud. These are the human values that the terrorism will never conquer.
Also people giving free water and food to people stuck in traffic while trying to go back to their homes and taking tourists into their apartments to spend the night there.
I’m so proud of this people <3

One of my favorite animals, inexpertly rendered by centuries of European artists. That one from the Netherlands looks like a high school mascot.
Happy World Elephant Day!

not for the first time i think that latin is the language of conquerors and greek the language of poets.
latin is uniform, it has regularity, it is brutally efficient. latin has constructions that make sense, latin is a language polished with centuries of use. latin is so suited to prose that i’m filled with wonder that the poets found the music in it.
greek is languid, unsteady. greek is words on words on words, irregular with constant use; greek is marvelously beautiful, with vocabulary for any mood, color, sensation.
a professor once told me that where latin speaks, greek will sing.
