i need to write a whole thing about rin’s relationship with humans and humanity because it’s a mess.

fun things i’m too lazy to put in bio format:

rin can’t speak properly. they often stutter , mix up words , have a strange structure of speaking , and sometimes will just forgot to talk. human language is easy enough to catch on , they can figure out how to speak but the structure and lingo of human sentences often leaves them more confused.

they can’t understand or conceptualize themselves as a person. that’s mainly because what they present themselves isn’t what they know themselves as. they can’t even recognize the face + body + etc they’ve chosen if they look in the mirror. also they hate mirrors. reflections make no sense.

because they have to compress a lot of their original self, they’re often drained or tired. sometimes annoyed and irritated, like an itch they can’t scratch.

good luck attempting to ask them anything about their past, can’t remember. time is a human invention and it means nothing to them. neither do memories.

they can’t open pop cans. just haven’t figured that out.

their original form has three eyes. also tougher skin than humans. they haven’t figured that concept out either and are often tear / injuring their skin and probably has a shit ton of bandages on them at all times.

also i love the idea that it’s so easy to just blend in with human society because humans are so inherently weird anyway , they’re just tiny little monsters themselves and if rin were to forget to adjust their teeth and smile with large fangs people would be like ‘ oh hey nice ! what do you use as a product for those ? ‘ as they try to get tips for their cosplays or some shit
