Another makeup test for Otakuthon 2013: Jeff the killer

Finaly, the latex prostetic I made for my mouth has completely dried, and I thought it would be wise to try it out before the convention and check for any signs of allergic reactions. I have now removed the makeup and I'm glad to see that no reactions occured. Kinda happy with how my first prostetic ever turned out, though my blending edges are a bit too thick.

Went on Omegle for my second makeup test. Had fun scarring a few people. XD And scared poor Roxy, even her computer couldn't handle this, since it froze on this exact screen. ._.' Even met this awesome Kurloz cosplayer! (Yeah, I had a weird face, got hair in my mouth and was trying to remove it. ._.')

Makeup test for Otakuthon 2013-Grand Highblood

Yeah, I know it's a LITTLE early for that, but I needed to know if I would have to buy latex, and the answer is... Yes. I used this wax-makeup-thingy to make my cheekbones more proeminent, but after some time, as I took picture, to wax kept falling off of my left cheek. So latex and spirit gum it is, then. Luckily, I was able to take a few decent shots, aside from the blurry pictures due to the cheapness and oldness of my camera.

Damn, when I look at my face, I don't even recognise myself! x)

First try at skeleton hand

Yeah so, after trying the wax, I started testing colors (the green near my thumb) and tried to make my hand and part of my arme look like a skeleton. I have to say, it was pretty hard, so I'm kinda proud of the results, for a first try. The skeleton hand was to me used in a corpse bride cosplay for the zombie walk in Montreal. The green makeup was for a dead version of Victor, wich a friend of mine was going to cosplay at the zombie walk. Unfortunately, we missed the zombie walk. Maybe next year. I'll talk to my friend and ask for his permission to post a picture of him with half of his face done, when we were testing the makeup.

Fake wound (fail)

Yup. So, I bought this wax thingy for makeup (not latex) and wanted to try it out and well... I ended up making a fake cut. At some point, the movement of my hand caused he wax to move a little and the blood started seeping undernearth, ruining the fake wound n the process, as you can see on this picture. Which is mhy I'll just buy latex next time. I already have spirit gum and spirit gum remover anyway, so I might as well use it.

Otakuthon 2012

as at Montreal's anime convention, Otakuthon, in August. It was my second year at the convention, and again, I had a homemade costume wich was designed by myself. Wich explains why I'm calling it a costume, rather than a cosplay, since it does not represent an existing character in an anime, video game, etc. My costume had artculated wings and glowing eyes (though it cannot be seen in daylight).
