PLS BE AWARE OF THIS SCAM

If someone Dm you saying they accidentally mistook your account for someone else, mass reported you and ask you to file a report back through Microsoft teams in order to fix it or else your account will be terminated.

At first, I thought it was genuine because mistakes like this do happen and their profile seems genuine with posts like progress of their artworks, and likes on their post. But i did some research, turns out it’s because they are actual accounts that have be hacked by the scammers and they are now using it to scam other people.

This was the reddit post that helped me, the whole post explains the scam better then I. I’ll put it here just in case anyone needs it.

look out my pretties!!! scam awareness! this is a report and support scam. these accounts will follow you, not like any of your posts, and message you almost immediately. I got suspicious after the text about the supposed other person having the same name and photo as me (rare but maybe) and giant red flag after they asked me to contact someone outside of the tumblr support team. and why would some random "accidental" report affect me? it takes multiple buttons to report someone, and that supposed email from Tumblr is way sus. also they didn't laugh or even acknowledge my oh hi mark😒 I didn't fall for this, but someone else might. I reported both their account and the discord account. this seems to have been a real person whose account got hacked, maybe by this same scheme, because they do have regular ass posts. I'm tagging some popular hashtags to boost visibility. REBLOG REBLOG REBLOG
