The First Time || Wendel & Dez
Wendel looked over at his watch, smiling to himself when time came and made his way to the outside of the training room. It would be the first time he would bring anyone to his house, and his heart had been beating wildly at the mere thought of bringing anyone, well, not just anyone, Dez to be exact, to his home. He wondered if something would happen between them, something more than just a share of few kisses. The thought made him blush every so often, and though he tried his best to suppress it, all his effort went to the drain as he blushed even more. A few of other Rebels made a few comments, though he was too embarrassed to say anything back, which only prompt them to tease him more.
He jumped into the elevator, humming to himself as it brought him straight to the training room. “Hey,” he said, waving his hand a little once he saw the other Rebel. A smile painted on his face and his cheek was slightly tinged with pink as he approached her. “You done with training?”
The last few hours had been thoroughly uninteresting, or at least that's what Dez had decided. The trainees had been mediocre at best; with little headway when it came to sparring. Then again, she hadn't been the nicest instructor for the past few days. She was stressed and agitated, but also attempting to jam other matters into the back of her head in order to concentrate on work. Work. Always work. Always working. Dez wasn't even sure what a 'vacation' was, let alone a day off. The only good thing she had to distract her was Wendel, and that was a miracle in itself. She hadn't expected to like anyone in the field. A relationship had been the last thing on her mind. The occasional party with the occasional guy had been enough. Before he came along, at least.
“Hey,” [...] “You done with training?”
She felt gross. Which was odd, because the sweat had never bothered her before. It was impossible for her to have some sort of girly issue, too. Maybe her hair had been thrown into a messy ponytail, but did it all truly matter? She knew Wendel wouldn't care, therefore why should she? Dez swung a bag over her shoulder before heading across the main room, and was almost immediately greeted by a familiar face. "Hey," she replied, "that I am. They all have..improvements to make." Or so that was the nice way of putting it. Dez reached for Wendel's hand as she came to a halt beside him, offering the hint of a smile in the process.
