The Almighty loses against Golden Experience Requiem because GER counters both its powers

The Almighty changes the future which doesn't help Yhwach because GER stops him from reaching that future

Any power that The Almighty sees becomes unable to harm or hinder Yhwach which doesn't help him because he isn't a Stand user and therefore can't see Stands AND he can't see the effects of GER with The Almighty because the effect of GER is that the things he sees with The Almighty don't happen

I reread my own fic and I'm still amazed how every part of my crew constellation came together to make this character death so narratively fitting

He was my second crew member.

He was the only crew member I couldn't romance. I think that was why the game chose him to die.

There are three crew members who become completely redundant in the endgame. Two of them, the two I had, are important for map completion. Melinda lived. Red died.

Two crew members are soldiers. Sarge lived. Red died.

Two crew members have hundreds of copies somewhere else in the universe. Kasandra, the time traveller who split herself trying to save the galaxy, lived. Red, the clone who was supposed to die a failure, died and successfully saved the galaxy.

Syll, who was supposed to keep the crew safe, lived. Red died.

I didn't plan any of that. I just thought the other potential crew members were annoying. This was just how everything played out.

I should replay Starstruck Vagabond at some point.
