Just created a character based of the koala lego minifigure ^^
im gonna need yall to understand that langdon going to rehab was a BLESSING and not a punishment. santos literally saved his life by exposing his drug addiction. he could've been dead. but instead he got off scot-free with no consequences at all. he got his job back and his family stayed with him. you do not need to defend him at all
part of the ICE storyline was to show the helplessness of it all. saw a couple people yell at Robby for not doing more but genuinely, what COULD he have done? other than try to get them out of his hospital as soon as possible? all jesse did was try to stop them from hurting her and he was DETAINED. these people are volatile. these people are stupid and dangerous which is an awful combo.
Its so clear the way the other hospital departments have absolutely no respect for the emergency department.
Javadiās mom literally asks her āwhy would you want to [handle the work in the ED?]ā because they practice āstreet medicineā and leave mistakes for āmore talented practitioners upstairsā to fix. Literally calling the ED staff incompetent for everyone in earshot IN THE ED to hear.
When Garcia and Al-Hashimi have their little tussle over the kid with the fracture larynx, Garcia is so rude. Which, I get it, a minor patient with a big ass cut in their neck isnāt exactly what you want to see, but her lack of professionalism or courtesy is really just indicative of how little she thinks of Al-Hashimi.
Garcia saw the cut and instead of considering that there could be literally any situational factor and asking āhey, what happened with this cut?ā she immediately assumed it was dispositional and jumped straight to picking a fight with Al-Hashimi, as if she has any reason to believe Al-Hashimi was negligent or did it on purpose.
On the same thread, when Garcia snapped at Santos over getting lippy with Langdon, itās clear she thinks itās always justified when sheās a bitch to people, but never when anyone else is. Which may be a more Garcia-centric problem than a systemic belief that the ED is inherently lesser than then other departments, but her hands still arenāt clean.
There seems to be an attitude in the hospital wherein the doctors upstairs are unsatisfied with the conditions that they receive their patients in, which is fine, but they attribute this phenomenon to perceived incompetence despite it being an openly known fact that The Pitt is constantly being tortured by upper management and that they have to race against time.
Which is like, bad.
yall better leave my girl trinity alone after last episodes talk with Langdon
The act of forgiveness is a decision people have to take because they really feel it, not out of pressure or just because and she has every right to be angry
Yes, Trinity could've talked to Langdon a little less harshly but I feel like some people feel like every character is human but Trinity, yall will be babying everyone but her on this show and it's so frustrating, nothing she does is enough for anyone, she has every right to be angry, I feel like some people moved on from how poorly langdon treated trinity in season 1 too quickly, or are we forgetting how she stepped up for Samira and blamed herself on something that wasn't her fault just for Langdon to verbally abuse her in front of everyone, mind you, it was her first day!! I remind you Robby talked poorly to a lot of the hospital staff and we don't bat an eye. For some people in this fandom is okay to have a hard day and treat bad to your coworkers only if you're a man, because Santos is having such a hard day and she only spoke the truth.
"She wanted him to loose his family" She's worried about someone on her workplace committing a literal felony that endangered the patients too, or are we forgetting about the dose that didn't work on a patient on season 1 because it wasn't the right one?
"She wants to ruin his career" Just in case some people forgot of that case of season 1 of the boy who had taken edibles and Langdon told Mel social services wouldn't be involved because they were white. That mas is pretty much AWARE of his privileges, he is the ERs golden boy actually so no, he's not getting his career ruined over that and him working there only MONTHS later of everything is the clear prove of that
No, I don't dislike Langdon, I understand his perspective too as much as I understand and respect Trinity's, not everything is black and white and so polarized.
"Understanding" a character like some of yall say, also means getting they're mistakes, not only the good parts they have.
I'm so pissed off with this misogynistic discourse of Santos hate everytime I get on social media, you cannot claim to get and understand Langdon and Robby with the excuse of "Oh they're just complex characters" and then dislike Santos just because you don't get her, in case some of you haven't noticed every character in the Pitt is complex, can we stop dismissing and belittling the clear backstory of Santos and her own struggles? You guys are the ones lacking empathy not Santos btw
Sorry if there's mistakes on this rant english is not my first language and I don't like using translators so I did my best here, stop glazing male characters so much you have to belittle female ones to justify them
oh boy iām winded
HBO: Hey try to be neutral about the ICE topic ok
The Pitt: Our virally successful hot silver fox who is white as the driven snow is arrested by ICE because he was trying to protect his patient from further injury because ICE are animalistic bullies and we want to show that to the wider HBO audience that won't recognize brown pain.
How the Pitt fandom feels when you avoid all discourse and just read about gay sex
never forget who walked so your white boy of the month with 10 seconds of screen time could run
They really gotta stop doodling in their notepads š®āšØ
oh.. okay, go ship girl
the devil works fast but ao3 writers work faster
Look at my doctor dawg heās so whipped
actually this isnāt canon Robby cause I drew him with a soul behind those eyes :b
Also can we talk about THE Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi in this episode???? Saved a kidās life doing a procedure she had never done in person (perfectly executed while also teaching it when even Robby was obviously too intimidated to try it) and refusing to take Garciaās shit about ābutcheringā the cut because she knows she did that!!! And then also not scared to professionally, privately, and firmly call Robby out about his behavior with Samira??? Even while he was acting like a bit of a child about it?? Oh I love her BAD
āthis isnāt a discussion, itās a monologue. so shut up and listen.ā
