This whole project was heavily inspired by the work of Lina Shamoon/ Mirrors by Lina (website here, check out her very cool and much higher quality work). My spin on things is definitely not made as well as her stuff, but I'm still loving the effect.
[VD: A video of an installation project. A corner of a house is shown, with green walls and two windows and lots of plants. In the center is a multitude of differently colored disco balls, around the size of an orange on average, hanged from the ceiling with thin gold chains, arranged to look like the solar system. The installation is spinnable, and as the disco balls hang between the windows, they reflect the golden light streaming in, creating colorful little lights everywhere. An emotional piano piece plays in the background. End VD]
Thank you!

Hilton’s aeolid (Phidiana hiltoni) is here for your daily nudi-break! This magnificent nudibranch sea slug is known for its pugnacious behavior, often biting and fighting with other aeolids!
This wonderful photo is brought to you by biologist Kate Vylet (Instagram: @katevylet)
A flashy seafloor Ferrari, prowling the derelict mudflats like Le Tigra. It’s clear this zoo lander is winning its seafloor walk-off with a signature look: Blue Steel.
This opalescent nudibranch, Hermissenda opalescens, is one of Monterey Bay’s model nudibranch sea slugs—while also being one of its most dazzling. Thanks to local scientific diver and biologist Kate Vylet for the photo!
Oh, this? Just a jewel of a Janolus on a jovial jaunt. These slugs are often spotted at night in Southern California, and are late-summer visitors to Monterey Bay. Magnificent photo by Desmond Ho (IG: @ho_desmond)
Opalescent nudibranchs are among the most common nudibranchs found in Monterey Bay—and they’re not picky about their dining choices. Though partial to stinging hydroids, in a pinch they’ll gladly eat members of their own species!

Moonbows
A moonbow, also known as a lunar rainbow or white rainbow, is a rainbow created by moonlight rather than sunlight. It's formed when light from the moon refracts and reflects off water droplets, like those in rain or mist, creating a visible arc of light in the sky. Moonbows are generally fainter and less colorful than regular rainbows, and they are much rarer due to the need for specific conditions like a full or near-full moon, clear skies, and dark skies.
