Finding himself perched atop one of the high rise buildings on the Upper West Side, Peter allowed his perplexed thoughts as of late that had been on the brain finally come together so that he could finally think for a change. Things just werenât great right now, and with his best friend dying, not to mention all of the personal grief he still hadnât managed to pack away completely, Peter just had to admit to somebody that he was not okay. Did these new âthreadsâ have anything to do with it after a chance encounter? Maybe, but he came up here for a reason. Hopefully sheâd show.
After waiting for about ten minutes, just as he was about to dive off the edge of the building, the metal clink of a grappling hook securing itself to the side of a building gave Peter pause, and what a reliefâFelicia finally showed. âDidnât think youâd actually show for a change. Usually Iâm the one thatâs supposed to be running late, but I guess a little bit of role reversalâs always been something of a game for you, hasnât it?â Peter stated. He crossed his arms, and his red suit with the white spider instantly shifted to that of the black symbiote suit, the same suit he only recently showed Miles. âSurprise, Cat.â
Months going straight-ish wasnât a feat in Feliciaâs eyes. She still did what she needed to do for herself and no matter the approach, taking from the scum of the big corporate idiots was always the end game for her. Sure, sheâd fight a little crime along the way and didnât mind putting in the extra time. Ultimately, she could thank her Spider for that notion as there wasnât even a thought of going the narrow route until they met. Then again life had its surprises for a reason and it had probably been 10 months since she even crossed paths with him, yet she thought about him often. Not to say she wasnât keeping her tabs on him like she always did. The distance that she felt was needed though was justified simply because wellâ he was a taken man.Â
Did that really matter though, Fee? Did it?
She scaled the building, swiftly moving up to the ledge, and released her grappling hook on the battered brick. She considered leaving the text on read before deciding after all this time, why not catch back up properly. Just a small fill me in before they went their separate ways again. âI have plenty of time to spare on a Friday night.â she grinned at his snide comment, cerulean eyes beneath her shades scanned the other. âThatâs not the black suit I made, is it?â she bit down on her lower lip, ever enticed by the sight before her. âSurprise indeedâŚwhat is this?â she had a claw to trace his chest, but stopped when noticing the threads were moving...
