Imagine you live in a world where artists and artisans are treated like pro athletes. And the equivalent of the star football player at your school ran away with the emo kid who was always skipping class to smoke under the bleachers. And years later rumour has it that the emo kid's got the football star locked down barefoot and pregnant tradwifing it up at a homestead out in the country or something? But gossip aside his career is still going strong, he's gone pro and he's famous now, and one day you run into him and you're like "hey man how are ya?" And this dude does not even grant you the polite decency of pretending to remember you even though growing up you lived on the same street and took the same bus, he just looks at you and goes "do I know you?" The thing about the whole Tassel Situation (head in my hands) is that it is the kind of thing you can imagine that traumatized loner kid they found in the woods doing of his own volition. Oh he switched our hat ornaments while I was sleeping and then got super duper weird about it when I brought it up. Even as a kid Olly understands this guy is Trust Issues Georg, so he probably just rationalizes it eventually as like, a bid for connection that Qifrey got all squirrelly about as soon as it was acknowledged.
