from duty well spent 💖 I left the hospital late because my resident woke up before 6am (my off), so I extended a little bit. I got home, had breakfast with my dog, slept around 8ish, and woke up around 3pm. I fed myself, had a cup of coffee, walked my dog during sunset, did a tranquil august reflection on my journal, read a book, did anki, and now about to do a little cleaning before I turn in because I’m preduty tomorrow (6am-6pm). it was a good day.

if you had a good routine started but now you’re struggling to keep it because you’re feeling lower, adjust it to where you’re at!! if you wanted to make your bed every morning, try just making sure it’s all on the bed. if you went for morning jogs or walks, try a shorter walk or even just some stretches in bed. you can still have routines and things you try to keep up when you’re at a low point, just put less pressure on yourself and fit them to suit the mindset you’re at.

MOD - Dessing patterns

Today is a full-on-study day 😁

I've really missed studying, I've realised this month that, while I may be good in other less qualified jobs too, computers are my passion and I would not live happily working in a field unrelated to programming. I've missed it very much, I'm so happy that I chose this path in my life 💖

During the pandemic I fell off in my studies because anxiety/adhd got the best of me and I couldn't do any better. I promised to myself that I would forgive me for not being able to study as much as I wished and that I would make up for it by any means.

So that's why even if working two jobs was exhausting and lost study time I wouldn't regret it, because I needed to repay (quite literally) those subjects from the pandemic.

Now that I'm just in one job (I had to leave the first one because of health issues) I will make the most out of the free hours I have. I will study as much as I can and whatever the outcome is,

I will be proud of myself

and my debt with 2020 me will be settled 💙☁️🦋🌌

It still doesn't feel like May, but I am enjoying the vacation a lot. Tried painting today (water looks terrible but I like the way I did the clouds so it's still something!) and I really had fun! My parents said they'd buy me bigger and thicker paper for me to paint so that they'll frame it and hang it up on the walls! Honestly that's one of the biggest compliments I could receive regarding my drawings.

For studying, I did what I was doing previously, revising old stuff for my next semester. I want to study more new stuff but I will be going for vacation soon, so I guess I'll hold it off for a while.

This examen I've been sort of procrastinating on, although that's is not the correct way to put it... It's more like I've prioritised other finals that I had less time to study for over this...

Well... In the end I started studying last week, and by last week I mean sunday. It was a very busy week because I wanted to also get in touch with my friends after weeks of hardly getting out of my house.

I actually thank my adhd a lot for this, I know how I work and what I can do. And yep, I knew I could pull it off and I really really think I can. I wish I had some extra hours tho, but I desperately need to sleep and rest.

Well. You can see that these schemas and "mind maps" are... Chaotic to say the least. But to me they are the best way to put into paper my thoughts.

In my tablet I have notes about how node and js work, but they only helped me learn the theory. The mind map was what truly made me understand it to a deep level. Now it comes naturally (ha, Selena reference)

So... Yeah, f that teacher who forced us to do the map her own way. And props to me for being able to do this kind of thing, I'm so awesome.

I need to desperately remind myself of the sometimes good and advantageous things that also come with adhd. It's not all doom and gloom, even if that's all I see or feel sometimes.
