A year has passed since the last intro post, and now I'm pursuing a Masters. Time flies away so fast and it's about time I updated my intro post. So here it is!

🖤I'm bisexual!

🖤Masters in Physics, when I get the chance I'll move onto material sciences!

🖤For now I'm letting my life take it's course, hopefully I can get into colleges abroad, so fingers crossed. I'm in Germany!

🖤I like science, humanities and definitely literature. I like culture and studying about all cultures including my own. I also really like sweets!

🖤Unlike the usual known Indian tastes, I come from a region with more chilies than spices, so I despise dishes with excessive spices (y'all our broth is mostly clear, wtf even is a curry-). I also dislike studying for and giving tests.

🖤My hobbies include drawing, dancing, writing, reading, journalling, crocheting, learning languages, flexing

🖤Few unrelated facts about me: I am left handed, I can fluently speak three languages- English, Hindi and Nepali and understand spoken Bengali, my aunts' houses and my own are filled with framed art pieces by me (this is a flex, yes)

I am always down to chat! So if you want to ask about physics, stem, advice on the education system, RANT about the education system (esp Indian), or just gossip, my dms are always open!

Busy busy busy day. It started with my Korean lesson which was quite challenging. Then I worked on revising chapter two, on writing an introduction for the first part of my thesis and then back at rewriting chapter seven. My brain is both very tired and overstimulated.

( •̀ᴗ•́ )و Back to studying after my little Alto Adige trip!

Today I reviewed everything I studied before leaving to see if I actually remembered it… and thankfully, most of it was still there. Maybe all those hours weren’t for nothing after all. ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

Studying in this heat is so difficult, though. My brain feels like it’s melting every few minutes… (╥﹏╥)

After reviewing, I finally started a new topic: Piaget’s stages of cognitive development. I’m really excited to get back into my psychology routine.

One page at a time. One concept at a time. We’ll get there. ♡

𐔌  july 16 ,, ☕️ — 𝝑𝝔  ꒱

10:00 - went to the local farmers market with my mom. we ended up getting so many vegetables (who knew orange and purple cauliflower existed??), but unfortunately we couldn't find pickles anywhere.

10:46 - picked up a coffee grounds blend because we were running out

2:20 - cooked myself chicken and the orange cauliflower for lunch, apparently the color is a result of the cauliflower being more vitamin rich.

4:54 - watched youtube and started looking into travel costs and plans for my gap year

7.16.26 - 40 DAYS LEFT OF SUMMER

a whole load of housework and some lab time

-> finished the last of the crayfish dissections and started disassembling the tanks; sad to see them go but happy to be moving on to DNA extraction

-> shallow cleaned the bathroom

-> deep cleaned the kitchen (seriously, it looks like I've got a brand new sink, s/o barkeeper's friend fr)

-> paid tuition for the fall semester. financially and emotionally devastating

The weather and everything kinda threw me for a loop.

My laptop HATES THE HEAT- So writing my actual project has been... near impossible. BUT, I have been writing my substack articles. Right now I have a total of I believe everything I need prepped to start beside one article which keeps stumping me. Tomorrow I am gonna conquer that one though-

Other than that I have picked up some of my old hobbies, and ones I wanted to start. It has been peaceful to do so and keep my mind busy. Embroidery has ended with... a couple stab wounds, but I now have a cute spiderweb detail on one of my button downs!

successfully finished about a week's worth of assignment in one day! might be too much to ask myself but i do want to try finishing the two weeks left of this online course over the weekend (5 assignments + readings, lectures, & notes) just so i can have the week free to proritize piano practice before heading out on a road trip. but the biggest goal for myself currently is to lower screen time and raise practice time

The end of July is approaching and I am scared about it. I want to make more progress in my thesis writing. Today I plan on:

having an initial untimed session to reread what I have wrote so far and give it a quick edit (35 minutes needed to accomplish the task)

one hour morning writing session (I mainly wrote down a big draft of the last thing I want to include in the chapter, I will add to it in the afternoon and then try to perfect it and add notes in tomorrow's writing session.)

one hour and a half afternoon writing session

I will update during the day to hold myself accountable and to record how the plan is working.

The irony of this new breed of self-righteous AI hunters on AO3 is that they're all just copy and pasting peoples fics into AI detectors, which are all operated by AI and therefore THEY are feeding people's work into the algorithm without their consent and in some cases no doubt circumventing the locks people put on to avoid getting scraped...

Don't copy and paste anyone's AO3 work into third party websites, you're not the good guys in this situation?

Lit candle in broad daylight because somehow Europe doesn't understand the concept of please-get-dark-after-5-pm. My last class ended and this might have been the final lecture I ever attended in my life. Wow. I am still unfortunately procrastinating on my work but at least this semester is over.
