Get Money While Playing Pokemon Go!
As many of you know, Pokemon Go is a free app where you go out into the real world and collect Pokemon as you go, which is a fun way to get some steps in your pedometer. Another free app, called Pact (formerly GymPact), pays users to work out as many times as said user agrees to workout during the course of the week. This can either be through a 30 minute gym check in, 30 minutes of motion tracking, or 10,000 steps throughout your day.
So I figured I would share this with everyone because Pokemon Go will have a lot of people walking, and maybe even motivate you to walk more. While you’re trying to catch ‘em all, you can easily reach 10,000 steps through neighborhoods, parks, campuses, etc. Or, start the motion tracker and spend 30 minutes playing Pokemon Go. Or, go to a gym (an actual one) to check in and spend 30 minutes playing Pokemon Go there. The point is that I feel there are a lot of alternatives to play this game and make some cash.
The catch with Pact is that if you say you’re going to work out 2 times a week and only end up working out once, you have to pay 5$-15$ (the amount is set by you) for each day that you miss. So if you say you’ll work out twice during the week and only work out once, and you set your amount to 10$ per missed day, you owe the Pact community 10$. I recommend starting off with a light load just to see what it’s like before you commit to doing anything 7 days a week.
Other quick facts about Pact:
the amount you get paid each week varies because you get paid from other users who don’t complete their pact. This translates to: more money during holidays, etc when people aren’t as concerned with being active and less during times such as New Years when everyone’s resolution is to get fit
the minimum cashout is $10 via verified paypal (they do this because of processing fees)
you can also log what you eat in a day via MyFitnessPal (also free) as well as eat fruits/veggies (by taking pictures) to get paid
I’ve been paid by Pact several times and they’re pretty fast
Monthly Everything List
Good evening, dolls :)
I’ve had an idea to make a list once a month of things that I feel are going to get me through the month, and see if you like any of these things, too. I’m going to try to include a wide range from music to movies to clothes to books to makeup to food. It might not be the same every month, depending on the type of activities I end up doing. But without any further ado, I’ll get started with the Everything List for July!
Book: Morgue: A Life in Death by Vincent DiMaio, Ron Franscell. ($11.77USD @ Barnes and Noble)
Impression: Starting off on a strong note! I had seen this as a top book on GoodReads for the month of May this year. I had no clue what it was about, I was simply interested by the title because I like things about solving mysteries/solving puzzles dealing with real people and crimes and I figured that based on the title, this book would be close to that. After reading the intro, I saw that this was a nonfiction book about a forensic pathologist’s (Dr. Vincent DiMaio) accounts of what he’s been through during the course of his career. After reading the first chapter, I realized Dr. DiMaio was the forensic pathologist for the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case. I thought to myself, “Oh my God.” Considering everything that’s happened in the recent past dealing with shootings and civilians against police, this book can still be relevant to what America is going through right now. In one chapter, Dr. DiMaio opened my eyes to the fact that the truth isn’t always what the public thinks it is; that evidence doesn’t lie but it can be manipulated; and justice isn’t always satisfying. I’ve only gotten through one chapter, but I will keep you updated on how this book goes.
Clothing: The Doc Chino pants from The Limited! (Currently 50% off for $39.97USD)
Impression: Okay, I work at a Limited Store, I pretty much only wear clothes from this store these days, and I had been dying to get these pants. I love wearing white as a way to stay cool and fashionable in the summertime! These pants go with everything, they’re thick enough that they aren’t see-through (I still wear white underwear underneath though), and they’re comfortable and soft! The one thing that I don’t like is that they’re drawstring instead of you being able to use a belt for them, but other than that, I adore these pants. I’ll post some pictures of my favorite ways to wear them.
Music: “Never Forget You” by Zara Larsson
“Leave Broke” by Chris Brown
“All Eyez” by The Game and Jeremih
“Sorry” by Beyonce
“For Free” by DJ Khaled and Drake
“Berceuse” in D flat by Frederic Chopin
Impression: These songs are my summer anthems rn. They’ve got really pleasing rhythms and lyrics that can work for a party or a workout (or both if you’re a pro) and I’m into music that’s versatile in that way. I also threw in some work by Chopin for those looking for more relaxing music without any words to do tasks such as studying.
App: C25K, (free on App store)
Impression: I love this app! The goal of it is to take an individual who is a “couch potato” and have them running a 5K in about 8 weeks. The app is free, and has workouts that increase in intensity over the course of the weeks. You just open the app, select your workout and there is a guide telling you when to run and walk so you don’t have to keep the screen on (I do just because I like to see my time left lol). The app doesn’t give you particular speeds that you have to be at, so you can set them yourself--just walk and run at a pace that’s good for you. You can also control your music from within the app. It’s a very nice workout companion at a satisfying price. I like to use this when I’m on the treadmill, and I use it in combination with two other apps called Pact (that pays you for working out) and MyFitnessPal (that helps you log what you eat). Both of those apps are free as well.
[April 8 2016] aesthetic game on point.
This is a major throwback to when my teachers forced me to make these in Korean school…
It’s a simple daily planner that you can easily make~ The moon means 12am and the sun means 12pm. 👍🏻
This is showing my “ideal day” for tomorrow but we’ll see if I actually follow it 👀
really interesting idea! I might try this :) I’ll have to find some pre-made circles though lol

so true. success requires you to push yourself sometimes, getting out of your comfort zone and growing. And the best part is that there are no limits to how much we can grow :)
