I HATE WHEN PEOPLE ARE GROSSED OUT BYÂ UNUSED TAMPONS. THATS LIKE BEING GROSSED OUT BY UNUSED NAPKINS, OR CLEAN SHEETS, OR CLEAN UNDERWEAR. LIKE OMG ITS NOT GOING TO HURT YOU. ITS CLEAN. TAMPONS EXIST WHY DO WOMEN HAVE TO BE EMBARRASSED OR HIDE THEM. ugh
Once I had an unopened box of tampons in plain view and my stepdad acted like that was some huge breach of social etiquette. I asked why on earth he was acting so weird about it, and he said, âWell you wouldnât want me leaving a box of condoms lying around would you?â
Okay first of all, that youâre even implying that tampons and condoms are comparable items is fucking stupid since condoms are used for sex and tampons are used to like, you know, not bleed all the fuck over ourselves during this biological function none of us can stop. So that begs the question of why the fuck youâre sexualizing periods or items required to live hygienically during one, wherein the answer is that you believe vaginas are inherently sexual and only exist as something to stick your dick in. Because me leaving an unopened box of tampons in view is literally the same thing as leaving a stick of deodorant or a bar of fucking soap out on the counter if youâre considering them by their function. But God forbid I remind you vaginas exist in neutral everyday circumstances and that they donât just manifest when you wanna fuck one.
Lots of important lines in here
name one native american intellectual off the top of your head, name one native american actor or actress off the top of your head, name one native american senator, one native american news anchor, or an author or a tv personality or a singer or a poet or a comedian, name a single native american teacher youâve had, can you? probably notÂ
ok so now think of one native american cartoon character you know of or a sports team relating to native americans whether itâs their actual name or their team logo, or a town you live in or near with a ânativeâ name bet a lot of these things came to you right away i bet you didnât even have to thinkÂ
needing native representation in media, education and government are not decoy issues, the commercialization and appropriation of native cultures are not decoy issues, the lack of native representation is institutional oppression at workÂ

WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND
So for all you feminists out their who think that all men should die, remember, you are not a feminist.
reblogging for the last comment
Legit question, Iâm not trying to hate on feminists or anything. Why is it called feminist if theyâre for equality?
castiel-knight-of-hell:
Thatâs a very good question and thank you for asking so politely.Â
The word feminism was coined by Charles Fourier in 1837, a French philosopher who advocated for the emancipation of women because he believed society treated women as slaves. We werenât allowed to vote, own anything, or work a real job. Women were ruled by their fathers/household patriarch until they married at which time theyâd be under the rule of their husband. If a woman did not belong to male household she was shunned by society and had very little means to make money, most of them unsavory. You know the idiom ârule of thumbâ? That comes from a running joke that started in the 1600s, and was still around in Fourierâs time, that said it was okay for a man to beat a woman with a stick as long as it wasnât any thicker than his thumb.Â
The point of the word feminist, and the feminist movement, has never been to say that women are better than men. The point is that women and things associated with women have been given a lesser place in society and we want to bring those things up to a place of equality. The focus is on the feminine because thatâs whatâs being pushed down. However, focusing on the feminine does not mean weâre focusing only women. Men are belittled and called âless of a manâ anytime they portray a trait that is associated with femininity. If women and the feminine were equal to men and masculinity then that wouldnât happen. Feminism is about raising up things associated with females to have an equal place in society as the things associated with males. Itâs called feminism, not equalism, because the focus is on raising up not tearing down. Equalism would suggest that male things need to come down to a lower level so that female things can meet it in the middle. Thatâs not the point. The point is to raise up the feminine so that itâs on the same playing field that the masculine is already on. We donât want men to lower themselves, we just want them to make room for us.
This needs to be spread far and wide to everyone on tumblr.Â
ALL OF THIS.
