I’m so glad you liked that one. UFP was one of my favorite ones to write, and it was conceived during an insane bout of writers block, so I kind of owe it to it to have thrown me a life vest lol.

I know you didn’t ask for the fic’s history but imma tell you anyway LOL. I’ve always been intrigued by Azula lying to Toph so smoothly that there was no change in her heartbeat that T could detect. Azula couldn’t be the only person in the world to get one over on Toph, could she? It’s a concept that lingered in my head since I first watched the show (in 2020) and stuck with me until I finally caught this idea with a fishing hook as I sifted through my brain. Toph being so hellbent on sticking it to her parents that she allowed herself, accidentally, to be charmed by a man who seemed to have the very same intentions for his own father, only to come to find out that he’s wicked and conniving, and that she couldn’t catch his whole scam? It’s a major blow to her, especially when Sokka—someone other than herself, who is so used to reading folks and catching them in lies or fibs—had a bad feeling from the start (which might have had something to do with his thinly veiled jealousy but I digress).

It’s still one of my favorites to look back on. And I loved creating and writing and falling in love with and hating Hwan all at the same time. I refuse to be done with this character; he’ll make an appearance in other fics/aus that I write heheh.

Again, I’m so glad you loved it, anon, and happy you gave me a reason to gush about it LOL

I love Toph fanart, the only thing that irks me is the people making her BUSTY for some reason. Her canon is that she's a muscular girl and the more you lift the less boobs you have. It's just unrealistic to have a muscular body and her BUSTY BOOBIES. That was NOT how she was drawn

This moment actually made me tear up so bad. The LA is just so full of heart. I've only ever watched through chopper joining the crew in the anime yeaaaaaaars ago, but Usopp was always my favorite character. Seeing him have an episode like this just made me so happy and warm.

usopp is THE stand out character this season im so glad opla has given him more time to shine than the source material i love him<3 he has so many touching scenes, funny moments AND time to show us what he does and what hes actually good at. you can read the manga for a long time before you realise that his skills as a sharpshooter and his aim arent just one of his stories while opla gives you little moments like him playing darts in whisky peak and they show him making his inventions in the backround a whole bunch of times which he then uses later in the episodes. he has really geniune and nice heart-to-hearts with nami in in logue town and vivi in drum island. his breakthrough in little garden with brogys help was so well done and lovely. he gets to be witty and fun. he gets to be afraid while being brave and without being made fun of it. jacob gibson did a wonderful job bringing him to life once again i love his little smirk he does all the time<3
