Ever since you went away, This bed has become A little too large for me. I stretch my arms And they reach out, Only to be greeted by your absence. My eyes have dried up Of your dreams and the sleep, Only the longing remains. My demons come crawling by To sit at my feet. My mind is not mine And I realise, Once you’ve fallen asleep with someone, Sleeping alone is never enough.
