So I'm out with a girlfriend of mine and some of her coworkers and after a few drinks the topic of sex came up.  I'm sitting here awkwardly because I'm still a virgin at 22 and I started to feel real self-conscious all these thoughts running through my head

Everyone's had sex. What's wrong with me? Do these people think I'm a prude because I haven't "put out"? I'm probably the only person my age who hasn't had sex.

And then I had to stop because 1. Who cares what these people I don't know think, in reality they probably couldn't care less about my sex life 2. Why does it matter when I have sex? When and where and who I have sex with only matters to two people: me and my partner. That is it. The End. I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason when they happen.  When I meet the right guy who I feel comfortable with and love and who loves me, then I know I'll be ready. Until then I'm just going to be enjoying life.
