Victoria Tower was constructed between 1847 and 1848, to commemorate the opening of Salisbury Dock on the River Mersey, England.

Victoria Tower, was often referred to as the ‘docker’s clock,’ and was built as an aid to ships in the port, so they could set the correct time as they sailed out into the Irish Sea.

The tower also served as a flat for the Pier Master. This looks like it may have been very cozy.

Lots of stairs lead to several levels, just like a lighthouse.

It must have cozy b/c there are a lot fireplaces.

The architecture of these rooms like it had pretty cool living quarters.

The windows make it look castle-like.

Here’s another nice room with a fireplace and nice window.

Comin out to the deck surrounding the tower.

The clock is on the first deck.

On the inside are the clockworks.

But, it goes up further above the clock.

A bell, which seems to be gone, warned of impending meteorological changes such as high tide and fog.

This is so interesting.

Here, at the very top, the stairs look kind of treacherous.

Great view from up here. Can you imagine refurbishing this and making it a home?
