Are you unable to protest effectively due to disability? Me too. Here’s what we’re doing instead:

NOT posting about current events in a way that centers “personal journeys” and unproductive fear. We’re putting our money where our mouths are (literally and figuratively).

Do you have a consistent form of income? Set a reminder for every pay period to put whatever you can afford towards a local organization dealing with immigrants’ bail bonds and related organizations. Start by looking up “immigrant bond funds (your state)”

Cancel any unnecessary subscriptions and put that money towards the cause.

Join or start a meal train for affected families. Can’t cook? Provide supplies within your means. No funds, ingredients or supplies to spare? Transport within your means or organize transportation to be acted out by others

Volunteer for a local rapid response team. Join an info session and be upfront about mobility issues if you can only perform work over the phone. Here is an example: https://ciraconnect.org/volunteer/

If you’re multilingual, translate fact-based resources.

Be intentional in how you warn about sightings. Choose accuracy over fear.

Schedule, coordinate, organize. Adjust what you can do to your abilities, energy and income.

🌸🍃🦋 Barbie Mariposa 🦋🍃🌸I recently started watching the barbie movies, and even though the animation is kinda wonky, there are some cute stories to enjoy! My favorites at the moment are Swan lake and mariposa ☺️ and yours?
