Sarreyer Cabin by Rapin Saiz Architects
Neighbors AUs
The walls between our apartments are so thin, when you sneezed I automatically yelled “Gesundheit!” and now I’m holding my breath and wait to see if you yell something back.
I saw you throwing a plastic bag in the garbage bin for organic waste and I’m holding a speech about recycling and NO I'M NOT CUTE when I’m angry, we all have to live on this planet!
I love to sing under the shower and now I’m standing at the mail box and my neighbor tells me he also likes [insert your favourite artist here]. So embarrassing.
Some kids pulled the fire alarm in our building and it’s 3 am and I’m standing on the street, shivering in my MARVEL PJ’s and this is so not funny!
I accepted a package adressed to you and now I lie in wait because you never seem to be home when I am.
It started with a small problem and a sticky note I put on your door to tell you about it and you answered with another note and now the door is full and I never even met you.
Your music is way too loud but instead of telling you to stop I put on my own music. Let’s see who surrenders first.
You desperately want to see the season finale of your favourite show but your TV broke down and now you ask me if you could watch it at my apartment. You even bring beer.

Ugh...my heart
I feel really proud when I see Muslim women speaking out about the idiotic behavior of society.
Just listening to chill beats while gazing at the scenery. Makes me feel nostalgic for something I've never lived.
The lyrics speak volumes. Literally.
The beautiful sights of Sidon, Lebanon; Plovdiv, Bulgaria and Càdiz, Spain, respectively.
does your heart ever just hurt because you’re thinking of the future you could have, the one where you wake up to sunlight streaming through the windows, legs tangled in clean sheets, next to the love of your life. You’ve got a cup of tea in one hand and you’re petting the dog with the other.
And it hurts because it’s so far away from the life you are currently living. You don’t want to wait anymore. You can’t keep waiting to be happy. You want it now and you don’t know if you can survive however many years it would take to get there. yeah it hurts
My heart ached when I read this, since I know what this feels like.
The beautiful sights of Sidon, Lebanon; Plovdiv, Bulgaria and Càdiz, Spain, respectively.
here’s to the kids
here’s to the kids who would watch others play from their balconys
here’s to the kids who were laughed at at school and called disfiguired
here’s to the kids who could read sadness and disappointment in their parents’ eyes
here’s to the kids who could never be the older brothers and sisters they wanted to
here’s to the kids that always needed to be taken care of
here’s to the kids who will stay kids forever but will never be kids
One day, you realise that there are some people you’ll never see again. At least, not in the same way.

I do not buy bookmarks. Instead, I use whatever I have on hand - a napkin, or a receipt perhaps. These things tell little stories, bring back little memories. As long as that boarding pass rests between the crisp pages of Catch-22, I will never forget resting my forehead on the cold window of the plane and watching the ground fall away from beneath us, or the joy of knowing I was embarking on a new journey mixed with the sadness of leaving behind the home I loved. Every time I see that newspaper scrap nestled between the worn papyrus of Jane Eyre, I shall recall sitting, legs crossed, on the living room sofa, with my parents reading the morning post on either side of me and my sister sitting on the floor with the dog, and really feeling like a family, for what I didn’t know then would be the last time. These little moments, the sights and sounds and feelings I would be apt to forget on my own, are forever stored in these makeshift bookmarks. They don’t just hold the pages in place, they hold me.
This is just beautiful.
