“Uh?“ Meiko turns around, the sight of a digimon shouldn’t be a bother after all this time, after all, until recently, she had a partner of her own. but it did bother her, even if it was just slightly, the reminder that her partner is no longer around. and yet, the girl manages to smile warmly, hands tightly pressed by her chest as she greets the familiar digimon. “Tentomon-sama.” and Meiko opens her eyes once more to look at the flying digimon and looks around. was he on his own? “did I bothered you? gomen ne. I appear to be a little lost!”

“Oh, she’s not? I’m sorry to intrude.” Takeru bows politely, a sheepish smile on his face. He’d thought the party wasn’t for another two weeks, but maybe he hadn’t been listening either. It wasn’t that unusual for Takeru to zone out while walking home with Hikari these days, thinking about how Daisuke should be walking with them.

They finally knew where Daisuke was, but Takeru wasn’t sure whether it was better or worse to know some of his best friends were in the hospital all because he hadn’t tried harder to look for them.

He shakes his head to clear those thoughts and bows again, accepting Taichi’s offer and moving to sit beside him. “Thank you. I needed to ask Hikari-chan something, but it’s not really something I can talk about while we’re in school. Has she, uh…” Takeru pauses, lifting a hand to rub the back of his neck and glancing down. “Has she had said anything…worrying to you?”

“Uh.“ ODD. there is a short pause from the elder brother as he lowers down the bowl of food and listens, brotherly worry spreading through his mind as Takeru speaks. “Worrying?” His sister seemed fine when she left with their mother today but, she had been getting better at hiding how she was feeling to him. ”No, she hasn’t.” But there is a growing concern in his tone that makes Taichi leave the food altogether in the table and turn his attention to the blond.

“Why? What do you need to talk about with her? Is something BAD happening?“ He doesn’t really want to think something related to the digital world was happening so soon, but his sister always had a deeper connection to the world. Or maybe it was just kids being kids. Still, there is a gentle frown in the digidestined’s forehead. “Should I worry, Takeru?“
