Surviving the philippines

Well, several weeks ago i was very sick. I got weak and couldn't eat and was in a lot of pain especially in my legs and knees. I went to the local hospital and they found out i had Dengue Fever (again, this is the 2nd time) My platelets were very low , stayed in the hospital about 3 days or so with fluids and blood checks. 

Myself with Dengue fever. 

Several days after that my son gets sick with some sort of terrible stomach virus/flu/bacteria/unknown. Just very sick vomiting, stomach sick and having a lot of stomach pain. 

We went to many clinics and doctors which all told us different things and gave us different meds, switched his formula nothing helped. He got weak and we ended up admitted to the hospital again for my son. 3 days of fluids and antibiotics , finally he seemed better and was released. But a day after he was sick again still just the same. 

Finally we have stopped the formula and continued antibiotics  he has had random allergic reactions during this time as well. Its been scary.  My son also has terrible allergic reactions to things.  He had a reaction in the hospital to the antibiotics they gave him.  He also gets similar reactions to some foods, or drink.  Especially milk (he almost couldn't breathe before from the reaction caused by milk or cheese)

Kai finally eating regular foods and feeling a little better. We were giving him a special treat of french fries instead of hospital food. 

It has been so difficult, costly, and i'm thankful to our families for helping us so much during these times.   He went through a lot he would have terrible stomach pain spams at night up for hours crying. It was so hard to witness him in pain. 

Around this same time the Philippines had a terrible storm.  So many people have died, lost homes, or are misplaced .  The storm passed our area and we were lucky but others were not so lucky.  Our nanny that helps watch our son her family is from the devastated area and she currently has had no contact with them and doesn't know if they are ok. Its such a hard time for her and her family. Let us keep them in our thoughts.
