quiet did not mean gloomy, an eyebrow raising as he eyed the man with a smile ticking a corner of his mouth. but he knew this, the idle chat to help settle the nerves, or maybe the man was just nosy, either way, a shoulder lifted in a shrug, because it was always a spur of the moment kind of thing. sometimes it was just getting out of his cell and feeling that first breath of warmer air brush against his skin, sometimes it was holding a gun in his hand again. and sometimes it was just being able to walk without coming in contact with a wall. but he wouldn’t want to hear that, idly humming a BING CROSBY tune under his breath as he thought.

THE GUY LOOKED ABOUT as crazy as Harley and, if the rumors were true, he was. Being locked up in isolation had a way of messing with your mind. You started seeing things or talking to yourself. The free hours they were allowed were few and far between and in Digger’s opinion, this guy needed a lot more time outside. He sniffs, absently scratching at his nose in the cool night air ( another thing he isn’t quite used to ). Brows lifting, he grins, that’s something they can agree on.

“ Yer my kinda bloke then. Nothin’ better than a cold one and some sheila’s. So why don’t we go do just that. You got a gun, I need a refill, ” he suggested, shaking his empty tin can.

It was a dream or some trick of the light that made him see double. His money was on Waller, drugging him was likely to be in her bag of tricks but he wasn’t to be fooled. If there was a job to do and it allowed him a moment of freedom, he wasn’t going to say no because he was seeing things.

TOO MANY QUESTIONS spoiled the fun in Digger’s opinion. If they know everything he can do, there’s no chance of escape or stealing stuff from under their nose. It was best to keep the guessing. He clucks loudly, shoulders lifting in a shrug.
