I'm genuinely happy for you though,

Even if sometimes I don't show,

And just so you know,

I promise that even I'll try to grow.

I know you'll be busy when things get

started,

But I promise I'll control my tears

whenever we're parted.

I'll hug you tightly when we meet next.

And then cry while talking to you on text.

Whenever you return,

I promise I'll stay the same.

Hiding my burn,

Of which I'll never feel ashame.

I know one day everyone leaves,

So I promise I'll calm my little soul that

grieves.

And even if you're far away,

He was my best friend.

Who taught me how not to pretend.

He was a friend every human alive could

ever wish for.

He would never leave, at least that's what

he swore.

He knew I was sad when I was unable to

utter a single word,

and all he had to do then was to make a

move forward.

He probably had the superpower to make

me feel better,

or maybe it was just his way to make me

flatter.

The only thing for him which was upsetting,

was my mental health deteriorating.

He brought me out of my depression,

which was actually his best first

impression.

He was the actual saviour of my very soul,

who'd always find the loophole.

Not going to lie, my heart did skip a beat

when we hugged for the first time,

Never realised we became that close in the

spring time.

My voice notes were a bliss to his ears,

or maybe it was just a show,

Listening to this, I was in tears,

because I knew all he wanted was me to

grow.

There were lots of things to say,

But unfortunately, we lost everything

waiting for the perfect day.

We used to have fun together all the time,

and now here I'm looking for a better word

to rhyme.

We don't talk to each other now,

But if at any chance we meet, maybe at

least we'll bow?

I don't regret a single moment spent with

him,

because all I did was act on a whim.

I still miss him sometimes, but it's alright,

because what I do then is write.

What if he showed up one day?

Will we be able to see each other the same

way?

He knew my favourite word was 'maybe',

and probably thinks I'm not that crazy.

But does he still think about me though?

Who knows?

Maybe?

It’s okay to cry if you don’t feel good,

It’s even okay to be sad if you don’t get your favourite food.

It’s okay if they are not here with you anymore,

It’s okay if you miss them,

It’s just that you don’t have to feel sour,

Because you know it won’t affect them.

It’s okay to fake a smile,

But it should last just for a while.

It’s okay to apologise if you feel like,

It’s okay if you feel like going on a hunger strike,

All of this just shouldn’t last for long,

Even if people blame you for being wrong.

Cause deep down you’re still aware,

That it would’ve been your favourite nightmare.

It’s okay if it hurts,

It’s okay if you still miss those sweatshirts,

Just don’t try to make it even more worse,

Because afterall you know the world is adverse.

She cries,

cries and cries,

She cries because she's not able to be the perfect daughter, 

She has cried so much that now she has even lost her laughter.

She calls her home her "hell".

Maybe it is because she isn't doing well.

She cries because everyone has left, 

She cries because she has got no one to share things with.

She mourns out of pain every morning,

But never forgets to wish the few left "good morning".

She cries,

cries and cries,

She wishes things could go back to normal,

Because she's done being formal.

She wants to smile again,

Rise and shine again.

She's scared of losing the ones she's left with,

Or say she hardly has people to talk with.

She feels like she's dying, but stops and thinks that for her parents her death would be mortifying.

She doesn't want to live like this anymore, 

She isn't even a good friend to anyone anymore.

She cries because she wants to feel the joy of happiness again,

She cries because she wants to smile again.
