My baby.
Still celebrating 39.
Ready for that summer heat.
All black affair.
A thousand more lifetimes with you.
Going down.
Time for this setting again, @astrid-grymzin.
Still on top.

All I see is you.
We need to go to Miami. Now. It was the only thing Astrid said before I was making arrangements the next minute, no questions asked. I saw the fear in her eyes—the concern and despair. Our time in Miami had been delicate. Constantly changing to accommodate the unexpected change in the life of Astrid’s best friend and her son. My goal for this trip to Miami was to be there in any way I could for Astrid and even Charli and her family, if necessary.
Any time we video called the children over the last week, I noticed Astrid’s hand protectively reaching for her empty stomach. A mother’s instinct, I suppose? She’s been so strong and remarkable. And God, I love her. I love her so fucking much. More somehow. It’s impossible, but this happens every day. I find new reasons to love her more. I want this to never end.
Now it’s Sunday and it’s almost time for us to head home to our children. I keep browsing through all the displays on the pier but my eyes seem fixed on Astrid every few moments. We’re looking for a peace offering gift for Kira. She’s still adjusting to being a new sister and tends to struggle with being away from Astrid for long periods of time. Astrid comes up to me with a figurine. It looks almost collectible. I see stars and crescent moons flowing down the edge of it. It’s perfect. “What about this?” she asks, smiling at me. I smile back and pull her towards me for a kiss, giving my agreement.
