the older i get the more it's terrifying to me how much child surveillance is normalized. scared for your child's mental health? here's more tools that will make them feel even more watched at all times. child is experimenting with their gender identity while away from you? we made it this other adult's job to surveil them for you. kid is "enjoying" their "free time" instead of doing homework? we've put parental controls on the things that they like so that you can monitor their private time. like can we fucking stop

why the actual FUCK are we holding system aid apps to the standard of being entirely developed and managed by ONE person???? do you WANT every single developer trying to make a disability aid for those with CDDs to consistently burn out within the first few months because they're the only person working on the project and overworking themselves????

these apps SHOULD have been managed by teams in the first place. they should NOT have been solely managed by one person. that was a HUGE flaw in the way simply plural and octocon were being managed, and look at that? now they're both shut down. LEARN FROM THEIR FUCKING MISTAKES, PEOPLE. GET YOURSELF A GODDAMN TEAM.
