Hello, The Sims lovers! Recently, you probably caught @morepopcorn update about the FAME PACK mod, which is going to bring back some cool features from the Sims Superstar EP (and not only!) 🤩

I can't express how excited I am to bring brand-new animations to these iconic objects and finally see them in action inside the game. I wanted to share a sneak peek of the WIP process with you! These clips come from the Recording Studio and showcase both the successful and failed versions of doing jingles and handling rejection.

Sims 2 Fame Pack WIP

It's been a while since I gave an update on how the Fame Pack is going.

I am very excited to let you all know that @dimond3d (creator of the masterpiece that is the Simwood series) is now a part of this project and has been hard at work on creating custom animations for the recording booth!

Previews are under the cut.

This is just a first pass - lip sync will be coming soon! This is unbelievably cool to me.

Meanwhile, I've been coding the runway! It's made of two separate parts: a clothing rail you click on for the interactions, and a rug that turns invisible in live mode to mark where the end of the runway is. This means you can build your own runway using a platform and style it however you want! You get the dialogue from the original game asking you to pick a sequence of outfits (couture, formal or lingerie) and the Sim changes and struts their stuff! Katelyn is wearing PlatinumAspiration's conversion of the Simtimates lace body suit.

Bonus pic of some objects that were hidden in the background of my previous post. The theatre seat is my cleaned up version of the one from Werewolves. Director's chair and barstool are repo linked. The film advertisement bench is from Get Famous but I added extra recolours for the metal because I don't always want green.

The scripts and clapper are conversions from Syboulette's actor career collection and are just for decoration.

I am thrilled at how well this is going and I wish I had more time for it. If only this were my actual job...

This collab is such an exciting journey for me ✨

I've never learned so much about bringing animation into a game. Seeing how everything works with Poppy's amazing programming gives me the same excitement as if this DLC were being released by the game studio itself.

Well, Poppy should definitely do the Makin' Magic Mod next, because magic is exactly what she's doing right now! 🤩 Can't wait to see everything in-game one day!

Hello, The Sims lovers! 🥰 Any vacation plans? Because the journalist trio in the next episode of the SIMWOOD series have their hands full!

This time, the studio is investigating one of the oldest families that helped establish it. There is a dark curse hanging over the entire family, and its last remaining member seems to be hiding in a hotel with a rather familiar name, White Oleander.

This episode took me about 5 months of work and is absolutely packed with references and easter eggs for both The Sims 2 and The Sims 2: Castaway 🐒

As previously, the episode is available with two audio options: POLISH and ENGLISH. I would be absolutely thrilled if you checked it out! ❤️

Hai! I just stumbled across your video while scrolling through Steam page for the Sims 2, and i am genuinely baffled on how high production your video is. It's so impressive! As a person who's also learning how to animate these Sims 2 characters whilst trying to use Blender, there's no way you manually rigged these characters all by yourself right? So my thought is that you're not using Blender. I Don't know if you are getting this question every so often so i apologize in advance, but how do you animate these characters? I would REALLY really love to know.

Hi @twoleafsimmerr! Everything you said was so kind and nice, and I'm so happy you took the time to watch those vids! 🥰

Regarding your question, I animate in Cinema4D, which is not too cooperative with original rigs. So if you want to import anything back into the game, Blender/Milkshape would be a much better option (they have TS2 files plugins). I made the rigs I'm using myself. I keep improving them, adding face/eye controllers and morphs to make everything as easy and fast to animate as possible, but they wouldn't work in-game. So rendering everything outside the engine is much faster for me than doing it in-game.

Maybe I should start with telling you that you NAILED it! Honestly. So much detsils, so many refferences... you are truly a SIMS LOVER. I salute you. The only thing I ask you is to continue this.🥰😍

Its interesting that you chose STUDIO TOWN/SUPERSTAR from Sims 1 as setting. Especially because Sims 2 is the ONLY game in the franchise that doesnt have Hollywood/fame/VIP (whatever you want to call it) system. While yes 2 has reputation rating/scale its nowhere near 1 or 3 (Late Night and Showtime). Its such a crime 2 didnt get to have it. 😭

That being said, I am curious what you have in store with your Sims 2 videos, but I bet it will be interesting anyway. Plus I want to know your opinion - do you think it would be possible to create a mod that could mimic SUPERSTAR or LATE NIGHT/SHOWTIME fame/VIP system? I want to believe that it requires very skilled creators and some time. 🤔😀

That's a really cool observation about TS2 being the only game without a superstar system! It made me think that maybe that's exactly why the topic is so interesting in this game, because it still lives in our imagination, letting us wonder what it could have looked like. It’s kind of like the classic horror rule: the monster is always scariest before it actually appears on screen. Of course, there are some rumors that it was planned at some point, but many factors pushed the devs toward other DLCs instead 😒 As for making it possible, it might actually be doable. Sims can get different tokens and hidden memories (like gossip) that unlock specific interactions. So maybe adding something like a being famous flag, and tying it to progress in the Show Business career, could allow new interactions - like giving autographs, taking photos, or just some fun chaotic cheating. I’d LOVE to see something like that in the game. 🥰 That's definitely something worth taking a closer look at.

Hello, The Sims lovers 🥹 After months of work, the first episode of a new series is finally here — a nostalgic tribute to the golden era of the game and Studio Town from the original title.

This new story explores the lives of characters, creators, and Sim actors whose brightest days are behind them, as they search for a new path after the fall of STV Studios. Told through a slightly twisted lens, with a touch of dark humor and a wink to the audience, the series playfully parodies familiar stories we all know.

So hop on the nostalgia bus for anyone who misses the Superstar expansion pack, and imagine how it would look in The Sims 2 edition. I’d be incredibly grateful if you gave it a few minutes ❤️

This series is available in both POLISH (original) and ENGLISH. However, this is my first attempt at recording English dialogues, so please don’t be too harsh — I did my best! 👉👈

These shots are from the final sequence of the Esoteric Relation horror series, which I finally wrapped over a month ago.

While working on the last location — the asylum hospital — I kept thinking about one of the most iconic jump scares, from The Exorcist III. I’ve always been drawn to the calm and silence of that corridor: so sterile on the surface, yet it gives you that creeping feeling that something is deeply, unnervingly wrong underneath.

I really love how some locations don’t need much at all to make me feel deeply uncomfortable.

Another example was Sofia’s room — also empty, with everything pushed into the corners. I wanted to play with that unusual white light, the kind that reminds her of Harold’s world. That shot was actually inspired by Edward Hopper’s painting Morning Sun.

He was an inspiration for many filmmakers — but that’s a topic for another post. One of those artists was David Lynch, especially when he made Mulholland Drive. His films, in turn, heavily inspired the creators of Silent Hill — which later inspired me to create a series based on it. So in a way, the story comes full circle 🥰

Hello, all horror and The Sims 2 lovers! It’s been a while since the premiere of the final episode of Esoteric Relation and I’d like to introduce you to my favourite monster: Dragonfly.

I knew something had to get in the way of the characters. Originally, the script featured a pile of furniture blocking their path, but that soon felt a bit absurd. Eventually, I realized that bringing the monster into their world would be far more impactful. Early sketches were pretty clumsy — the one on the right is over 15 years old, and back then the character was simply called the Grim Reaper.

The final concept was a patchwork of a few ideas that stuck in my mind. The monster had to be blind but highly sensitive to blood, so the Pale Man from Pan’s Labyrinth was one of the first inspirations. It also needed to block their path, which is why I added robes floating around the room like a spider’s web. These robes come directly from his body, like a thin layer of skin. I also gave him a cut on his back to make him a bit creepier. That idea was inspired by Aether, one of the elementals from the game Ghost Master.

The monster also has a somewhat more human body (because I’m lazy), which may remind you of one of the covers from Ibn El Leil by Mashrou' Leila. I looked up the title, and it literally translates to "Son of the Night." The last inspiration comes from the long robes trailing on the floor — that’s Vladimir Harkonnen from Dune.

I had no idea they'd eventually come together as a single monster made from all those concepts. I also didn’t even remember that everything was supposed to take place at night — the script originally said it would be daytime. So something had to create a strong backlight. I ended up simply replacing it with the moon, and that gave the scene a magical effect that I really liked.

Hello, all The Sims 2 lovers! I’d like to share something very personal with you.

Between 2006 and 2012, Sims 2 machinima thrived. Even the game’s creators supported fan-made videos, often featuring them on official platforms. One iconic element from that era was a memorable logo, along with a few downloadable songs and themes.

While working on the final episode of Esoteric Relation, I decided to recreate that famous logo almost frame by frame as a tribute to those creators. It was something very meaningful to me and brought back some of the best memories I’ve ever had with this amazing game.

These days, I find making these videos really relaxing — it’s also been a great way to develop some new skills, from building simple sets to creating unique animations and special effects. And this final episode is packed with all of that!

Hello, all horror and The Sims 2 lovers! A few weeks ago, I shared one of the newest episodes of my machinima series, Esoteric Relation.

It’s something I started doing as a kid 14 years ago, and now I’m continuing it, having finally realized how much this game means to me. Throughout all these years, my love for horror and monsters has never faded. I’ve always enjoyed designing new creatures, sketching ideas, and filling my notebooks with designs. But this series has given me a chance to bring some of them to life.

It always started with my clumsy sketches. The idea for the Photo Monster came from the picture frames hanging on the wall in a previous episode. I knew something dangerous had to appear and attack the main character, but I wasn’t sure what.

Then it hit me—the photograph showed the main character’s current partner, so why not create an evil, alternative version of him? Using the original mesh, I designed a twisted counterpart, suspended on a metal accordion arm, as if controlled by dark forces, forcing him into battle with the ex-partner.

I really liked that idea. The final touch for this sequence was the lighting. Red, of course, symbolizes something evil, but on the other hand, it’s also the color of darkrooms where photographs were developed. In this way, the sinister version of this character was quite literally developed from the photo hanging on the wall.

Pamiętam, jak na blogu wstawiałeś scenki, jak mała Lucyna wbiła nawet do akademika Laury (jakimś cudem nie zapomniałem tych imion po ~15 latach, tak jak Ogórków Ale Kicha i narracji o Zadeckiej "wtem persona k'drzwiom nieznanym piżmem zwabiona spoglądać poczęła").

[Side note: kiedyś rozpisałem się na temat Usług jako swojego ulubionego sim-serialu, z którym miałem najżywsze wspomnienia na CS, i było mi bardzo miło, że się wzruszyłeś tym postem, ale pewnie zupełnie tego nie kojarzysz 🙈😅] Pozdrawiam serdecznie i miłych dni! 😺

Na pewno musiałem się tym wzruszyć, bo ilekroć ktoś pisze, jak bardzo czasy STV i forum były ważne w ich dzieciństwie, to i do mnie wracają wszystkie te miłe wspomnienia i wieczory spędzane wśród tej społeczności 💚 Lubię sobie czasem odwiedzić stare adresy za pomocą Wayback Machine - co prawda zarchiwizowano jedynie fragmenty tych stron, ale to i tak coś.

Jestem w szczerym szoku, że udało Ci się zapamiętać posty z bloga! Woah! 🤩 Absolutnie nie pamiętam, że dawałem zapowiedzi drugiego odcinka - ale to prawda: Łucja miała zawitać do akademika Laury i zrobić awanturę 😅😂

Drugi sezon miał się skupić wokół sekty z 3 odcinka (Stowarzyszenie Umarłych Kadetów 😆 BLEH nazwa, wiem...) i zazębić z retrospekcjami wokół Samanty "Klary" Klarnet. Scenariusz, który naszkicowałem zawierał masę dziur i głupot - bardzo zresztą w moim stylu jeśli chodzi o tamte czasy. Jeśli chcesz, mogę Ci go podesłać na privie 🥰

Many years ago, I started my own horror series inspired by Silent Hill. Lately, nostalgia reminded me how much I loved that game—it let me create anything.

It shaped my passion for filmmaking, led me to film school, and eventually to working as a 2D animator for TV shows.

This new episode was very emotional for me because I returned to my original passion and realized how much fun I had and how many amazing people I met along the way 😔
