lisa in king size homer is a really interesting character study, like homer is attempting to do this completely ridiculous thing trying to become disabled through morbid obesity just so he can work at home and bart is 100% on board to help him, marge is all ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯, maggie thoughtfully but still irresponsibly offers him a playdoh donut because it's nontoxic, and lisa is the only one who 1. calls him out and 2. continued to show him love and support

the only reason marge said something to homer about it was because lisa asked her to. marge was all "well he gets upset and I don't want to upset him by telling him his stupid plan is stupid" also lisa encouraged him to speak to a doctor about it for guidance, which he did! sure dr. nick is the last doctor you should consult but the point is he did consult one

lisa put the conversation in motion! not to mention throughout the episode people make fun of homer, and when lisa hears it she immediately shuts it down saying "my dad may have put on weight but he's still a real person with real feelings"

usually this comic doesn't make any sense, which is why I follow it, but sometimes it'll have a joke that makes sense or is funny. sometimes it has one that makes sense and is funny, which is what this is to me and what made me crack the fuck up snort-laughing

its also kind of adorable too and that shit is cute

birds and spiders work fast

usually spiders have the semblance of something rebuilt in 2-3 business days after I've swept the porch

but birds are even faster. within HOURS of sitting in a clean chair in the yard I come back and it's soiled

now there's that efficiency thing I like

there should be more tshirts with side pockets like you'd find on a jacket. even better if they were zipper pockets. I don't give a crap about looking bulky, hello comfort and efficiency
