Excited to try out my new mezzotint printmaking work light! 💡 Typically a fabric panel is used in front of a window or lamp to create diffused light to easily see your process when burnishing and scraping the image into a mezzotint copper plate without glare. I figured why not combine the screen and light, using an Ikea frame a set of LED lights, plus some 3D printed bits! Modeled up the grey pieces in @autodesk fusion 360 and printed using @matterhackers Pro “tough PLA” which is surprisingly strong! Picked up this tin at an antique shop a few weeks ago. Sometimes you have to fight each and every print, ending up with 20 that are as far from what you want as can be.
