Hello. Im conducting a mass obikin fans survey. If you don't wanna participate, that's fine! If you wanna. here's the questions:

1) why obikin? what's vour second favorite sw pairing? how old were vou when vou started shipping them?

2) who do you relate more to: anakin or obi wan:

3) what"s vour favorite canon era of them? (padakin? knights? imperial era?)

4) is there a popular fan opinion, dynamic, or canon-related take that vou CANNOT tolerate in regard to them?

Hello there! Well, this was unexpected, but welcome nonetheless!

1- why: I like their dynamic, idk, they're just each other's light to their respective inner dark (at least that's how I see it) I think my second fave sw pairing is Dooku/Sifo-Dyas (bc I'm just a sucker for doomed pairs okay!) How old I was when I began to ship obikin?... like 17 or 18, something like that. (mostly bc I was in denial for ages, didn't want to fall for another ship of doomed star-crossed lovers... yet here I am!)

2- I think I relate more with Obi-Wan, only in regards of the whole 'repression' not allowing for thoughts/feelings to be seen by others with much ease and having a really, and I mean really, difficult time expressing them.

3- The Knights era. They were equals back then and their bond truly flourished during that time. (though a sprinkle of the Imperial Era here and there for maximised angst is always good)

4- canon related: the whole 'you're like a father to me, Obi-Wan'... Seriously, the guy who's half-midichlorian and never had a dad to begin with, telling Obi-Wan that he's like his father when he doesn't even know what that truly means 🙄and in fan opinion: that Anakin is inept and Obi-Wan would rather have Qui-Gon alive and being Anakin's master... never liked those. 😤

What I'm eating: (well, it's almost midnight here) last thing I ate was a mandarin around 6pm or so.

What I'm working on: other than working on my fic for the obikin BB and the artwork for another lovely author on that same BB, I'm also writing the next chapter for one of my ongoing fics (in which Anakin suffers from amnesia, forgot 4 years of being with Obi-Wan, then gets back his memories only for everything to fall apart again thanks to Vader from another dimension) and just outlining another fic, and working on a couple of sketches 😬

What I'm doing to touch grass: I've been picking up fruits from the backyard and making them into jams, juice, or just chopping it up and putting it in the freezer (which is kinda useless here because we do get a lot of blackouts 😂but on the other side everyone here is hands on deck when it comes to fruits, so they don't last long or go bad, since we eat them faster than anyone might expect.) and also sun-drying some cacao beans to make a few cocoa bars to keep at hand for later on in the year. 😋

What's making me laugh: my sister's face. She's watching some drama series on her phone 😂 idk what's going on with the whole plot there, but her face's a poem full of tragedy rn!

◽ One character that describes me: the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I'm just as stubborn and at the same time silly, refusing to recognize an obvious defeat wen it's literally hitting me right on the nose 😂

◽ Favorite song rn: I'm You Boogie Man by KC and the Sunshine Band (found it on a random playlist and been playing it on repeat for almost 2 weeks now. I can't dance, but damn, I love the rhythm it has!)

◽Favorite album of all time: The Silent Force by Within Temptation (found it during an awful time in my life, the songs in this album helped me a lot when I was dealing with severe depression and self-harm)

◽Favorite fruit: I love mangoes! (special mention to guava, limonsillos and tamarind bc they're a close second)

◽Favorite time of day: I love late nights. The hours between midnight and 5am, when everything is quiet for the most part, no expectations, no demands, nothing but peace.

It has been almost a week since the initial post; although there are still several days left before the survey closes, I wanted to share it again in case anyone missed the original post or hasn't had a chance to fill it out yet (Click here).

So while reading one of @lady-evelin fics this random idea based on this au! where Obi-Wan's not a Jedi, (he's Stewjon's senator, there's age reversal too, etc) anyhow, long story short, we were joking about Anakin trying (and failing) to brush Obi-Wan's hair without tangling it 😂 and him not having the slightest idea of what he was doing, but Obi-Wan was fine with it bc he got Anakin to touch him anyway. (yep, he's wearing Anakin's cloak...)
