001: HOW TO PLAY A STRIPPER
While filling out an application for a roleplay I had thought about joining, I realized that I wanted to make my character a stripper. I searched far and wide, scanning through multiple blogs in hopes of finding a guide that would help me portray a stripper using facts, accounts, and basic information. When I came up empty I decided to take matters into my hands and compile a guide that would hopefully help other writers and/or roleplayers in their quest to create a realistic exotic dancer.
I’m sure that most of you reading this are thinking about how exotic dancers are one of the most overused and predictable character backdrops. However, this is simply because most people do not portray exotic dancers in the correct fashion. Instead, they’ve built a fictional archetype of a poor woman trying to get by or a sex crazed vixen. This can severely damage the development of your character by placing it on the path towards an obvious finish line which makes your character a static one.
