GENERAL RULES

Please keep me out of your drama. I don’t engage in callout culture, and I don’t care for petty disputes. Your beef with someone is not my beef. I also don’t care for vagueblogging.

As this blog WILL contain triggering topics such as drug usage, violence, etc, I expect my partners/mutuals to be adults as well. As such, I want to limit my interactions to those who are 21+.

I am mutuals only. This means I’d like for us to be following each other before I interact. It keeps my dash clean, and it makes it easier for me to keep track of who owes what.

I will tag most triggers with __tw. I won’t always remember what needs to be tagged, but I try to keep on top of things. In turn, I ask that you tag triggers as well.

FORMATTING AND REPLIES

I use an RL faceclaim for some fandoms, and I have animated icons for animated fandoms. I am also more than happy to do without icons completely to make people comfortable. Just let me know!

I color code character speech! It makes it easier for me to keep track of what I replied to and whatnot. On that same note, I also use small font 100% of the time, as well as a header for each ic post. You are zero percent obligated to match me.

I can spit out lengthy replies in minutes, or I can sit on drafts for months on end. Please be patient, cause this isn’t my only blog.

SHIPPING

I am always down for shipping! All I ask is that we have prior threads, and we discuss things before hand.

I am not super interested in smut. If that’s what you’re looking for, I’m probably not the partner for you. That said, Duran is a sexual person and will reference it. If we do decide on spicy threads, I will NOT be using a read-more, nor will I make a side blog for smut. It’s all or nothing.

I love dark whumpy themes for ships. I love angst, and I love exploring trauma with a huge emphasis on dealing with/pulling through said tough times.

Cosmo curled his fingers around the neck of the bottle, taking it from Duran’s hands as a feeling of dread settled into the pit of his stomach. Cosmo was tempted to ask him why it had to be ghosts that Duran wanted to look for as his first supernatural activity rather than just asking Scott to wolf out on him, but he knew that his own reluctance with ghosts was just that: his own.

    ❝ That’s not as reassuring as you think it is, ❞  Cosmo remarked dryly, following Duran out of the house and towards Duran’s car, he was at least thankful that Duran was volunteering to drive because he knew that he would be far too distracted to focus on the road as he was.

    He slumped into the passenger seat, cracking his neck,  ❝ We could do that, but then what would the point be in your EMF detector? ❞  Cosmo already knew that neither Scott or Stiles could see or interact with ghosts the same way that Cosmo did. Not without some serious help anyway.

    ❝ I appreciate the trust, ❞  Cosmo said, though he said it within a tone that implied the all too familiar Stilinski family sarcasm, he did mean it. Cosmo unscrewed the cap to the stolen scotch and took a gulp that set his insides on fire.  ❝ Why’d you pick the Hale house anyway? There’s bound to be less creepier haunted places around Beacon Hills. ❞

“ I figured we can go back to where it all started. ”  Honestly the truth is,  Duran had just picked the first place to pop into his head.  The Hale House,  even in shambles as it is,  has to be the creepiest location Duran knows of in Beacon Hills.  But then again,  he’s never really done much exploring,  since most of his time used to be spent in lab visits and sleeping.  Nowadays he has far too much free time on his hands,  and is going to dive in headfirst.

“ Think about it. ”  Duran begins driving,  glancing sideways at Cosmo.  “ What better location than to where it all started for you guys?  Us. ”  Because let’s face it,  Duran’s always been involved,  even though he never wanted to be.  You don’t get to be part of the Stilinski family unless you’re willing to face the unknown.  Duran’s always known,  and there have even been times he’d been willing to help.  He just never knew how before.

“ Besides,  what better way to spend the afternoon?  It’s not like either of us had anything better to do. ”  Maybe that’s true for Duran,  he isn’t sure what Cosmo had planned.  “ We’ll even go after and get stoned,  get a bunch of burgers,  and have a good laugh about it.  How’s that sound? ”

Now Scott tries not to laugh, because: “Yeah. Yeah, you probably could’ve. I don’t think he has a secret label system or anything.”

“Okay well still, don’t tell him I raided his cache. I still have nightmares about the time you both were pissed at me and he broke his hand.”

Not that that was Scott’s fault.

“I…honestly don’t want to even think about losing Dad, too.” He’s had to, Stiles has had to think of that way too much over the years, and he really doesn’t want to do it any longer. “But…yeah. We got snacks. I hide them from Dad, so don’t  you dare show him where they are. You’re in, too, right, Scott?”

Scott scoffs just a little, turning to give Stiles such a judgmental look. “Of course I am?”

“Alright, it’s settled then.” Duran reaches up to ruffle Stiles’ hair. “You think Dad’s there too? He’s probably gonna eat me alive for not calling him for awhile.”

“Oh, also? I call dibs on all the caramel in the house. All of it.” Stiles is probably going to fight him for that, but Duran can at least try. Plus, he’s glad he can just spend time with his family again. No fighting, no bitter feelings, just family watching a stupid fun movie.

          SUPERNATURAL HEADCANON

Duran never really had faith in anything, in any higher power. He doesn’t care about angels and demons alike, preferring not to think of them as celestial being or creatures from hell. Instead, Duran thinks of them as just another brand of monster, or race of creatures he can defeat. Powered up and hard to beat? Sure, he knows the struggle. But they are killable, and he’s added a few notches on his belt for what he’s been able to defeat/exorcise.

Duran doesn’t like having faith in anyone but himself, because as far as he’s concerned, angels and demons do more harm to humanity than good, and their attitude about humans makes him hate the creatures all the more.

If it can bleed, it can die, and that’s the extent of Duran’s faith.

open - v. life on the road ( SUPERNATURAL. )

It’s almost universally a hunters’ trait to break into buildings that normally hunters wouldn’t have any business breaking into. However, this one case almost seems to invite it. Duran’s standing outside someone’s ‘abandoned’ home (which really, isn’t abandoned, just emptied out while the residents are away), searching for a way inside to work his latest case.

The home isn’t rumored to be haunted, or any paranormal activity, but Duran has enough of a lead to run off of to know that the man of the house is heavily involved in the paranormal, and that the man’s wife is either the next target, or has already been a target.

With an almost nervous whistle, Duran uses a crowbar to pry the door loose, enough so that he can walk in. He glances both ways to make sure he’s alone, then pushes the door open, and heads in.

while her element resonates with the cold, her body isn’t immune to the bone-chilling winds. duran asks but she doesn’t answer. not yet. the breath she holds must last the distance, for the next she sucks in will surely bring ice to her lungs.

seelies that wander in dragonspine glow red and orange, warming up the air around them delightfully. however, she doesn’t scale the wall — or what’s left of it — to huddle around it. instead, she heads further into the cave.

without warning, she grabs duran by the arm so he won’t get crushed by the falling icicle, and when it’s over, she doesn’t acknowledge that either. letting go and bending over, she squeezes past a small opening and finally arrive at what might have once been a small library. 

“ to avoid the freeze, ” she finally says after much delay. the cold here is unlike anything else — it’s persistent and murderous, and it could kill you in a matter of minutes. she checks the torches and settles with one. “ do you have matches? ”

he follows her,  trying his best to keep warm in the rush,  while also avoiding all the obstacles.  he’s noticed that the longer they’re here,  the colder it tends to feel,  and duran doesn’t like being out here anyway.  there’s something off about this frozen mountain,  almost as if there’s something sentient about it,  something willingly keeping things cold and colder until people freeze to death.

icicles falling wouldn’t be as drastic of a way to go out,  that would be a quicker end than the chill.  but he’s grateful all the same that rosaria pulled him to safety,  still dragging him until they’re inside a small library.  the difference in temperature isn’t noticeable,  but at least the wind chill is lessened in the small room.  rubbing his hands together,  duran looks around,  wondering if it’s too late to run back to mondstadt for a warm meal and drink.

“ yeah,  i think so. ”  duran breaths on his hands in an attempt to bring feeling back to them.  his breath is just as cold,  and doesn’t help,  but he managed to reach numb fingers into his pouch to pull matches out.  a flame would definitely help out a lot more.  “ here. ”  he hands them over to rosaria.  “ i don’t know if i can light them on my own, ”  he admits.  “ can you do it? ”

“Well now that you mention it, I probably could have used the whole roll and just bought a new one. Neither of you would’ve had to know.”

okay but now i’m thinking of genma in the supernatural world. rather than human cloning, they were using the lab as a front to breed packs of werewolves. it’s possible duran slipped through the cracks, because there were a ton off people there anyway. but someone took pity on him when he was young and ran off with him, hiding him in foster care. no one was any wiser over the escape, especially not the alpha werewolves who were using the lab as a front.

all duran had to go off on was a short letter stowed in his pocket, a letter that read they were sorry he never got a chance at a normal life. so maybe duran’s family is out there, but they’re all werewolves, and he doesn’t care. as far as he’s concerned, the entire pack bit ruined his life and robbed him of a home. also he’s probably slightly resentful that he didn’t get to become a werewolf too.

rather than addressing his feelings, he became a hunter in part to vent his anger, and in part to try and find his original ‘pack’, except...

they’re probably long gone. as much as he’d love to reunite with his original family, he had to have been taken away for a good reason. what better way to find answers than to become a hunter? after all, duran practically raised himself, he knows how to fight and move. who’s to say he can’t also kick ass?

right now i am obsessed with supernatural, and i want nothing more than to rp with supernatural blogs if any are around.

i can see duran being a hunter of his own. maybe not particularly skilled, but he’d be a hunter also on the road. though his goal isn’t necessarily just to hunt supernatural beings blindly, but he’d probably have a little more purpose and drive, such as revenge or some misguided sense of justice.

after all, every hunter gets their start from one mishap. maybe his involved something like werewolves. huh? yeah? :D

Stiles gives another long, heavy sigh, shaking his head before he looks over his shoulder at his brother. “I’m sorry.  Believe it or not, I didn’t actually try to keep that one from you. I just…kind of forgot to mention it.”

As ridiculous as that sounds, given what they did, what they had to do, to save their parents.

With a brief nod and a little huff of air, Stiles moves to hop out of the Jeep so that he can push his seat forward and let Duran out. “C’mon, let’s just get inside and not worry about it any. We can toke up and watch something ridiculous. The Princess Bride, maybe?”

“You don’t have to explain yourself to me big bro,” Duran says, offering a bright smile. “I could waste time by being mad that you never told me, but you saved Dad, didn’t you? My life would’ve been a lot different if you didn’t have dad to lean on when we met.” With that said, Duran’s more than happy to drop the subject and move back to the present.

He reaches up to pat Stiles on the shoulder. “Do we at least have snacks in the kitchen? Because we’re going to need a hell of a lot of them.” He’s already getting hungry. “And Princess Bride sounds perfect.”
