We lost Andrew Fletcher of Depeche Mode today. I don’t know exactly what he did with the band, but I was always very glad he was there.

Wolfgang Tillmans, “Insanely Alive” (Pet Shop Boys radio edit.)
Daði Freyr (Daði & Gagnamagnið), "10 Years"
If this doesn't win Eurovision, Europe has to shut down.
I really can’t believe we’re getting a DVD/2CD release of Pet Shop Boys’ Discovery: Live In Rio. Sure, I wish the video quality were higher, but the prospect of getting a good audio version on a rippable format makes up for it. This is a very fun show.
The B-52′s, “Cosmic Thing.”
Don’t let it rest on the president’s desk / rock the house!
The stop-motion video for Orbital’s 1996 single “The Box” was directed by Jes Benstock and Luke Losey and features Tilda Swinton as an alien traveler who exists in a different timeframe.

The debut solo single from The XX’s Romy is called “Lifetime.”
It’s marvelous.
Freezepop, “Anchor to the World Below.”
The return of the best Boston-area synthpop act is a welcome balm in these uncertain, unpleasant times. Get their new album Fantasizer here.
Fern Kinney’s “Baby Let Me Kiss You” sounds fresher than it should after 41 years.
"Prison" is a song by Space, a project helmed by producer Didier Marouani that might be best known for "Magic Fly." It’s a big slab of French disco that feels like it should have a very dramatic interpretive dance attached to it.
Sorry for getting that backing chorus stuck in your head.
The Band That Fell To Earth only released one song. It is over 17 and a half minutes long.
Radiance’s “You’re My Number 1″ is a fine, fine piece of boogie.
