hey there. over the course of a few months or so, i’ve accumulated a little over 300 followers from posting/reblogging/participating in discourse. i’ve made some new friends and have edcucated myself on some things i didn’t know much about before.

you can probably guess where this is going. if not, let me tell you: i’m gonna be stepping away from discourse on tumblr. forever. the tumblr discourse community is toxic, and i don’t want to be apart of a community that thinks it’s okay to send people death threats or makes people want to harm themselves. that isn’t me.

i won’t deacticate this account. i’ll rename it “discoursetrans-archive” so you guys can still see the content i’ve posted. i also will not be running a queue, answering asks/mentions, etc.

i know as a truscum you’ll be brutally honest with me. i currently identify as a homoromantic ace woman but i’m so conflicted. i’ve been androgynous/butch/masculine for the longest time and i feel jealousy when i look at men. i wish i didn’t have breasts + when i see flat chests i feel bad. i’m even happy when i’m misgendered, + i even feel if i had male genitals i might be comfortable having sex and might not even be asexual. i’m so scared i’m just a tucute subconsciously seeking attention

i’m gonna be honest with you, i 100% think you’re trans. i think you have dysphoria and that you aren’t a tucute seeking attention. i also think you should do some research to make yourself more comfortable with the topic.

My favorite argument for he/him lesbians is the “historically, lesbians used he/him pronouns all the time.” Yes. They did. To avoid being beaten and killed for being lesbians. They used he/him pronouns so people would look at them with their girlfriends and think “straight couple.” They used he/him pronouns because their options were “pass as a man and be safe” or “look like the lesbian couple we are and risk our physical/emotional safety and potentially our lives.”

And you’re going to shit on that oppression by using masculine pronouns as an aesthetic?

honestly idk why it matters so much to you. i dont feel like a woman a lot of the time. i dont feel like a man much either. I’m a lesbian because i like women. being called he rather than she doesn’t upset me, and after spending 4 years going by those pronouns i’m even less used to being called she.

if you know anything about dysphoria I’m sure you’d know that it isn’t as simple as “having that much dysphoria would make them dysphoric being called a lesbian too”. i have dysphoria about my chest but not my genitals. is that fake dysphoria? are people who dont want bottom surgery faking being trans?
