Hello! This blog is here to post and share bands with a small or no following, whether it's your band or a friend's band or just a band you like that you'd like to share with other people. Submissions can be sent in through the ask box, you can tag me, or you can actually use the submission button. I'd like to focus on sharing minority music, of course queer or poc or disabled ect bands, but that's not a criteria, just something I think is great. From punk to rap to rock to country to pop, we're all just here to enjoy music!
WE HAVE AN ACTIVELY UPDATING MASTER PLAYLIST!!!!! one million thank you’s to @cheerleadergee for putting this together 🫶
Q+A under the cut.
Q: What's the cutoff for "underground"?
A: It depends. Some of my favorite bands have under 100 followers on Spotify or Youtube, some have a few thousand but I still consider them completely underground because they have no following or fans that are vocal. If your band has over 10,000 followers or subscribers I'd discourage you from sending it in, but Ill post it. However, if you send me someone like Taylor Swift, I'll pull my hair out.
Q: how do i submit a post?
A: Spotify, Youtube, and Bandcamp links if those exist. If not, I will edit the submission so it has all those! OP of this blog does not use spotify.
Q: Can I send more information than just the link to the song?
A: Of course!
Q: Can I promote an upcoming album that hasn't been released yet?
A: Yep! Self promotion is in fact encouraged.
Q: Can I send you asks that aren't submissions, like my opinion on a band you shared or just to talk about music related things?
A: YEAH!!! I love to talk about music and in no way would I object to doing so on this blog.
Q: how long does it take to post?
A: I run on the queue system, about 5-10 posts a day, so it’ll be a bit before you see your submission! I’m not the most consistent on this blog, and if you don’t put all your links in the ask, it might be months until I queue it.
everyone's heard of this, right? per ap article of apr 8, 2026:
Jacobs went on to record more than 10,000 concerts, with increasingly sophisticated equipment, over four decades in Chicago and other cities. Now a group of devoted volunteers in the U.S. and Europe is methodically cataloging, digitizing and uploading them one by one.
The growing Aadam Jacobs Collection [link to internet archive] is an internet treasure trove for music lovers, especially for fans of indie and punk rock during the 1980s through the early 2000s, when the scene blossomed and became mainstream. The collection features early-in-their-career performances from alternative and experimental artists like R.E.M., The Cure, The Pixies, The Replacements, Depeche Mode, Stereolab, Sonic Youth and Björk.
btw I don’t think I ever said it here but like. my asks are open. if you like my music and want to know something about it, shoot me a question and I can give you an answer!
Qobuz is the most ethical alternative to spotify and even tidal (tidal is just pandora radio in a different font; you can't curate playlists, which i absolutely fucking hate, but you can curate playlists on qobuz, and the royalties they pay to their artists are far larger than spotify) that i've been able to find, thanks to this post on instagram by singer-songwriter laura burhenn. the post also lists other alternatives, including tidal, but qobuz is by far the best of the lot. they even have a free feature called soundiiz where you can transfer all of your playlists from spotify to qobuz!
Hi I just released (like 4 months ago 😮💨) my second album! Sporadic genre jumping (folk, prog rock, pop punk, funk and more) and subject matter led me to naming it ADinDie (because of my undiagnosed ADD lol) and I recorded every instrument myself as is my right as a trans woman😤. Please enjoy my homemade indie album 🙇♀️
"What kind of music do you like?" Oh you know....women screaming music, haunted women music, women stifling sobs music, women crying out in desperation music, women evoking folktales and old gods music, violent women music, women having fun music, women screaming out vows of love and devotion music, women taking revenge music, women moaning music.....
