1. “Viru viru” Aeropuerto Internacional, Santa Cruz.

If you are planning to visit Bolivia you should considerate in which airport is more convenient for you. “Viru viru” is located on the tropical side of Bolivia. You can find more flight connections toward another South American countries, USA (Miami) and Europe (Madrid). “El Alto” airport has flight connections, over all, to Peru.
Regarding the domestic flights, they are quite often and you can get the flight tickets directly on the airport and but are a little expensive. Unfortunately in South America you can not find low cost air companies.
If you come from Europe it’s better to arrive in “Viru Viru” airport, because the altitude is really low. Instead “El Alto” airport is at more than 4.000 m.a.m.s.l., therefore it’s possible to have some breathing problems at the arrival and It’s highly recommended for people with heart problems to avoid arrival at this airport.
