hot controversial take coming in thats probably not gonna be put eloquently but here goes nothing…

i’m honestly sick to death of hardcore wido/fjord shippers repackaging outright misogyny as these ‘woke’ talking points. claiming that jester is everything from a racial fetishist to a sexual predator, even though anyone with critical thinking skills knows she’s not. it’s just an excuse to shit on a woman who has romantic feelings for fjord and might get in the way of the ship.

or more recently is the claim that the show is qu**rbaiting. forget that ya’ll reading too into interactions and framing them as romantic when that is not the creator’s intention isn’t qu**rbaiting for a second. thats not the problem. the problem is that this claim flat out ignores that we have two really fantastic, well-rounded, canon lesbian women, at the front and center of this show, who are actively pursuing women romantically or who have been married to one. but do they care? no bc we don’t count, wlw are an afterthought to them.
